She pulled the earrings from the box and removed her small gold studs to put her new earrings on. The dragon earrings dangled about an inch from her earlobes. They swung with each turn of her head.

Pre-Half-Blood Prince canon, this is my own version of Year 6 although elements of both Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows will feature.
