"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails....And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." - 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a, 13 [NIVUK edition]

You may need to acknowledge that the roses are even there first.

Of course I backed right into one of them. They had me down in a second. I fought to get loose, and almost did for a second; then they tightened up on me and slugged me a couple of times. So I lay still, swearing at them between gasps. A blade was held against my throat.``"How'd you like that haircut to begin just below the chin?"" ~S. E. Hinton, The Outsiders

But that girl had existed. She knew it, because she had been that girl..."

Betrayal. Death. A deadly trap. Capture. And the trial that there ensued. If you are looking for a light story, look somewhere else. This is not such a story. This is the tale of the Trial of Ronald Bilius Weasley.

Did Harry Potter really never have friends when he was a child, or were there one or two insignificant enough that they were never mentioned? What happened to them? Did Harry ever see them again?````This is the story of a lonely little boy, how he found two friends, lost them, and found them again. This is the story of Harry Potter, but you'd never get his friends to recognise it as anything but the tale of Jimmy.
"Somewhere there waiteth in this world of ours For one lone soul another lonely soul, Each choosing each through all the weary hours, And meeting strangely at one sudden goal, Then blend they, like green leaves with golden flowers, Into one beautiful and perfect whole; And life's long night is ended, and the way Lies open onward to eternal day." ~Edwin Arnold, Somewhere There Waiteth

Preparing to leave, to spend the remainder of the summer before his final year at Hogwarts somewhere else, Harry takes a few moments to speak to the only one he can tell anything without feeling ashamed: his diary. A sort of companion piece to The End of Innocence and The Beginning of the End, but not a sequel.

Virginia creeper: native woody vine of the grape family, tall growing and popular as a wall covering in the temperate United States. It has blue-black berries and clings by disk-tipped tendrils, some branches hanging free in graceful festoons. The five-fingered leaves—brilliant yellow to red in the fall—are sometimes confused with the three-fingered poison ivy. ``````A boy fighting for the lives of all he knows and cares for--and a great many he doesn't. A girl trying to make her way in a new and unfamiliar world. An ancient magic binding them both. And above it all, a darkness surrounding the home they have grown to know and love, drawing ever closer, threatening not only them but all around them.
Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary, ``Over many a quaint and curious spellbook I'd not read before, ``While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,``As of someone gently rapping, rapping at the dorm room door.``"'Tis some visitor," I muttered, "rapping at the dorm room door--``This it is, and nothing more."````But it isn't...and we all know it. "You used to smile all the time. Why don't you smile anymore? What's changed?"````How am I supposed to answer her without frightening her? She’s five years old. She doesn’t need to know what happened in the Department of Mysteries. She doesn’t need to know what I’ve seen, what I’ve experienced...
It's the last school day before Father's Day, and the class is making cards for their fathers. What is poor Harry to do?

Harry opened the Daily Prophet one morning to discover three-inch headlines: Sirius Black Declared Posthumously Innocent. About five seconds later, he found himself swamped with letters from friends. A one-shot explaining what other people's reactions might have been to such an article.
Smoke, fire, flames. Not that uncommon an occurrance at Hogwarts these days--Hagrid gets drunk about twice a month and sets his bed on fire. But one night, during a particularly dry spell just before Christmas break, the fire spreads to the castle...````Songfic to Kenny Chesney's The Simple Things.
The September of Harry's seventh year, too much has happened. Too many people he loved have been lost. He resolves to cut himself off from everyone he ever loved for fear of hurting them or killing them, and he succeeds. In fact, he succeeds so well that he actually forgets that he ever knew any of the people who once meant so much to him. It will take a very special person to bring back his memories and make him remember when...
Sirius Black once had a family. They were lost to him forever one night, leaving him with nothing but a fragile, delicate yarn doll that his older sister made for him. Ten years later, Sirius started at Hogwarts-and he still had the doll his sister made him. Years later, he passed the doll on to his godson, who lost the doll the night his parents were killed. Fourteen years later, the boy-who-lived returned to his parents' home to see what he could find.
"It was just a joke. Really. We didn't intend for anyone to get hurt. If we'd known... well, we wouldn't have done it. But it's too late for that now. And the blame is as much mine as it is his. It was his idea, but I went along with it. God, how could I have been so careless? Mom always said our pranks would get us into trouble one day."
After reading one too many HP/Shakespeare crossovers (one) and one too many Shakespeare plays (three) I decided to try my hand at one of my own. If anyone has read the play Julius Caesar, you know where this is going. If you don't... well, it's the story of Julius Caesar and his downfall. I just figured it would be cool to write a fic where Harry is Julius Caesar, Ron is Marc Antony, Draco is Cassius, Neville is Brutus, and more characters are introduced each scene. Intended in fun, please don't come after me with the Killing Curse!
Here it is, for all of you who asked for it--Rita Skeeter is back, with a new article chock-full of evil and revealing quotes! Enjoy and laugh!
Walking down a deserted corridor, Hermione Granger disobeyed everything five-and-a-half years in the wizarding world had taught her and leaned too close to a mysterious white spiral. Falling through a time vortex nineteen years back in time, she meets the Marauders. Befriending them, as well as several other important characters, she tells no one of the future but Remus Lupin. Contains: OotP spoilers, implied H/H, implied RL/PE
Someone has died. A twin. His heartbroken twin is left to carry on, to explain to his confused brother what happened.
Harry eats too much of a mystery dish at dinner. Mayhem insues. This fic includes: pinning the cast of Harry Potter and JKR to a crazed fan's wall, a daring rescue and hilarious circumstances, foriegn exchange students, Ron's cousin, the Harry Potter book collection, baboons on flying goats (don't ask), Darth Vader's stunt double, the Monkees, the Beatles, exploding Ron, and a french fry up someone's nose. Rated PG because there's nothing worse than that in it, but so wierd that no one really ought to read it.
Next in the Monty Python series--it's Draco's turn! Enjoy!
A sort of prologue to my fic "Forty Shades of Bewilderment". A ballad of sorts about Kelsey Potter, Harry Potter, Cedric Potter (or Cedric Diggory), Percy Weasley, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Ginny Weasley, Jenny Wren, and Jessica Potter. Each stanza ends with "long time ago".
Arithmancy has been cancelled due to Professor Vector's illness, so the class goes to Muggle Studies. They are given a questionnaire to fill out--the modified, adapted, and considerably shortened but still insanely long registration to MONTY PYTHON AND THE QUEST FOR THE HOLY GRAIL!!! Hermione fills it out, with hilarious consequenses.
Hermione and Harry notice that, with their romance blossoming, Ron seems a bit left out. He's not so left out, however, when a girl pushes him into the lake. Soon, he is sitting by the lake with her as the lake's romantic magic draws couples from all of the Hogwarts houses to its banks. Songfic to Can You Feel the Love Tonight? from The Lion King.
If you have dreams of marrying Draco Malfoy, this fic is not for you! An eleven-year-old girl starts Hogwarts and falls in love with Draco—and he loves her back! A love story with a few unexpected twists, several brand-new characters, and—of course—a very unusual Draco romance!
Minerva was just coming down for breakfast when she heard the news. A dark wizard had just murdered her Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, a wizard who called himself Lord Voldemort. Then Lucifer, a Slytherin boy in her year, sprung the news on her: Lord Voldemort was none other than Tom Marvelo Riddle. That was the last Minerva heard from him for fifty-one years, until she recieved a startling letter at breakfast... MM/TR
Harry and Hermione are married and have way too many kids. Living in a typical Muggle home, they have a whole bunch of problems, including a broken washing machine, sour milk, missed dinner dates, and small children with nightmares, but that's all right, because to an Auror working all the time, life with his family is 'just another day in Paradise'.
Hogwarts is having a reunion! Even the alumni who are dead and have not become ghosts are permitted to come. So, of course, that means Lily and James, who are NOT pleased with the way their son's life is going. Note: This story contains one of my own characters (Harry's twin sister Kelsey) and portrays Cedric Diggory as their older brother. If you do not like this, then do not read my fic.
It seems routine enough for the Ministry. A basic raid at the Malfoy mansion. But a routine raid goes horribly wrong when Mr. Malfoy holds his two children, fifteen-year-old Draco and eleven-year-old Amber, hostage to prevent the Ministry from coming in. When he literally lets go of Draco, the Ministry breaks down the door and comes in anyway. By the time Mr. Malfoy is through with this force, fourteen of the original fifteen wizards lie dead on the floor, and the final wizard is seriously wounded. Draco must commit a desperate act if he is to save that last wizard, as well as his sister and himself. From Draco's point of view.
Fourteen-year-old Ginny is at a graveyard. Her love, the one person she cared about but never told, lies cold and still under the ground. She tells him everything.
The final war against Voldemort has begun. Almost every boy at Hogwarts in the fifth through seventh year, with the exception of Crabbe and Goyle, has joined the fight against the Death Eater's army: the Army, the Navy, the Air Force, the Marines, or the Coast Guard. It is extremely hard, both on the soldiers going off to fight and the girls forced to remain behind. A songfic to the Dixie Chicks' "Travelin' Soldier". Includes a little HP/HG, RW/OC, NL/OC, CC/GW.
Rita Skeeter has returned! She turns into a beetle and goes ferreting (all right, beetling) around Hogwarts and gets many, many, many interesting quotes. Some of them are veeery revealing! What are they? Who said them? You must read to find out!
It is Remus Lupin's sixth year. Following a joke played on Snape by Sirius, a joke that almost got both Snape and James killed, Remus is on trial. Locked in a cage at the end of the hall, watching his little sister and his best friends struggling not to cry, he reflects on his family life, how he became a werewolf... and the painful memory of the last time he was here, on the other side of the cage, watching his sister struggle with herself as she awaits her fate. Told first person from Remus Lupin's point of view.
Je crois des miracles... Je crois des promenades longes dans le pleut... Je crois des chants mal a' minuit... Je crois toi...
Sequel to The End of Innocence. On the long flight to America, Harry is scared and in pain inside. In anguish, he tells his thoughts to the only person on the flight he can tell and not be overheard-his diary.
The Triwizard Tournament is over. Voldemort is back. Terror and fright is everywhere. You don't know who to trust or who you can turn to. In times like that, often a journal is the only place you can turn to. Harry discusses his pain, his anguish, his guilt. A songfic to Cat Stevens's "Oh, Very Young".
A certain someone muses over his love for our friend Lavender Brown. A short songfic to Something There from the movie Beauty and the Beast.
Yeah, yeah, we all know what happened the night Lily and James died-how Voldemort killed them, he couldn't kill Harry, Hagrid took Harry to the Dursleys, Sirius was accused, etc. etc. etc. But we don't know the whole story. A slightly angsty fic that delves a little deeper into the lives of seven people affected or in some way connected with that fateful night.
