We all know what happened with Harry and company after Sirius fell in his battle with Bellatrix in the Death Chamber, but what did Sirius encounter beyond that mysterious veil? Here’s my take on it...

Bellatrix Lestrange (Née Black) was sent to Azkaban for the crime of being a Death Eater and the torture of both Muggles and wizards. Gradually, along with all the others in there, she starts to lose her mind; starts to forget. And, of course... No one escapes Azkaban.

"He hasn't gone after me. I don't think he needs to. The wolf will kill me one day. He's sure of it. He's very sure of it."

For one to be pureblooded and to leave one's family for the sake of goodness is not an easy thing to do. One war for Isadora Roquelaure was difficult enough to live through, but now, what about the second, with the past repeating itself? To be Slytherin does not necessarily mean to devoid of goodness, and it can take a lifetime to prove it.

Post OotP Songfic. Remus visits Sirius' grave on a weekly basis. Weeks after Sirius' death, Remus is still grieving.

A look into the mind of Sirius on the night before the Fidelius Charm is cast. What would make him, a very talented and very proud wizard, decide to take the fate of the Potters out of his own hands and place it into the hands of someone else, even he is a fellow Marauder? Must be something drastic. I've never been real happy with the explanation given in the books. It seemed too easy, too neat. I always thought there must have been more to the tale. We know Sirius was a reckless man, not gifted with a calculating or subtle mind. I can't believe he made a decision of such enormity based solely on strategy. There had to be more. This is my crack at what may have transpired. It is a touch brutal and gorey, the R rating is not a light one.

In the strange, twilight world that exists between the Wizard and Muggle worlds, he learns some of the cruel realities of life here in the underworld. Striking up an uneasy friendship with a strange, deadly clair-sentient named Morgan, the two begin the long journey to Hogwarts. Stopping at an inn in the border village of Mangletorn in the Scottish Lowlands, Sirius is jarringly reminded of an episode from his and James Potter's past, and learns another cruel truth about himself.

Sirius and Remus were not a particularly happy couple during the time of Voldemort's first rise. Suspicion ran rampant between the two, each certain that the other was the traitor. Finally, the two separated - temporarily. But 'temporary' can end up being a very long time indeed.

Sirius meets Shaula in a secured room before his sentence is passed for Azkaban. They are of a similar background, and both followed good and evil with equal valour. Yet how did they both end up here, in the same place?
