Sirius and Remus were not a particularly happy couple during the time of Voldemort's first rise. Suspicion ran rampant between the two, each certain that the other was the traitor. Finally, the two separated - temporarily. But 'temporary' can end up being a very long time indeed.

Remus doesn't remember how it started, how he met the other Maruaders, how they became friends, how his confused emotions one day turned to love. All he knows is that it happened, and he is always destined to be a Follower.

Remus loved Sirius, loved him with all of his heart. Unfortunately, Sirius never saw things the same way. Only now that Sirius is dead can Remus really pretend that Sirius loved him.

Sirius has been an important part of Remus's since the moment that they met. And since they day he has taught Remus many new things. Remus remembers these lessons.

In order to keep Harry safe, Draco gives himself to the world of darkness, taking Harry's place in a life worse than death.

Draco may believe he knows everything, but in reality he is very innocent of the ways of the world. Only when he loses this innocence in the "training" he receives, is he able to gain compassion for the person whose life he has made miserable, the person who comforts him in his pain.
