A Remus/OC romance. How will Remus cope with the feelings he has had for a while? When the opportunity to take things further arises will he take it, or shy away? Set in the same universe as "Where We Begin", this is a bit of a departure from my usual stories. It's Penelope-centric and gives an idea of what Remus Lupin might have been doing while he was in hiding from the wizarding world. Also, oddly enough, it's a war-story, and rather Cabaret-esque.

Throughout their years at Hogwarts the Marauders have always lived their lives in the same way, making the same choices and decisions over and over without change. Lily has always pushed James away in fear that if she lets her guard down he will let her down. Aurora is positive she's not in love with Remus and won't hear any different because she is ultimately afraid of what will happen if she faces her emotions. Raine is afraid to speak. Peter has always hid in the shadows of his three best mates. Well, this year they all decided that it is time for change. This is the year they never expected to come.
