Hi! I just wanna say thank you so much to RareandSkeptic for beta-ing! I love you!

The night wind whipped through the trees of the forest. It seemed to be whispering to the full moon. What it was saying; no one could be sure.

One thing was clear, however. Fear. It was penetrating. It seemed to seep into your soul and freeze your very bones. It was pure, uncontrollable fear. This fear was coming from a young woman by the name of Nymphadora Tonks.

Tonks, a 24-year-old Auror, found herself in a very unfamiliar place.

She was deep in a very dark forest that she didn't remember entering.

The last thing she could remember was entering her house after work that night. She had never walked into the woods. ‘But there are woods around the house,' she thought.

That was it. She must have been sleepwalking and wondered out of the house. That would explain it. 'Yes, that must have be it,' she thought, not feeling very confident about it at all. She of course had nothing to be afraid of. She lived here after all. Her home must be close by. How far could she have gone? Very far considering she had no idea where the hell she was.

She was wondering what time it was when a gust of wind blew through her shoulder-length brown hair. It dawned on her that she was in her natural, brown hair green eyed, form. She didn't have time to ponder why before another gust flew by. This one however was different. It seemed to speak. It was like it was whispering to her. It sounded like it said, "Look up."

Not knowing why, she looked up at the sky; that’s when fear nearly over-whelmed her. High up in the sky, hanging over her, was the full moon.

'The full moon? It wasn't time; the full moon was not for weeks. Wasn't it? If it was the full moon I would have heard-' her thoughts were cut off when she heard it. The sound she had feared ever since she saw the moon. The blood curdling, soul splitting howl.

"Oh God," Tonks gasped. "He’s out."

The wind blew by her again and this time the whispering was clear. It was as if it knew what was happening. The wind said, "Run, Tonks, run!

He’s coming." That was all Tonks needed, she had know idea were she was going and frankly she didn't care. All she knew was he was coming. She had to run; and that’s what she did.

The branches of the trees scraped her arms at were exposed by her night-dress; she didn't care. The rocks cut her bare feet; she couldn't stop. The wind whipped around her whispering for her to hurry; she did. She ran deeper into the forest. The young witch had no idea were she was going; all she knew was that he was coming. He could smell her. He could and would find her.

The howl came again, closer this time. He was so close. 'God,' she thought. 'I'm not going to make it! No, I have to make it.' She had to if not for her then for him. He was coming; she could almost hear him.

From behind her she heard a snarl that sounded as if it came from next to her ear. She turned but, saw nothing. When she her face forward, she saw a pair of bright amber eyes. She stopped running and stumbled back.

He was right in front of her. His eyes glowed in the light of the full moon. His teeth were bared and his claws out stretched.

She kept moving back as he, slowly, advanced on her. She couldn't watch what was behind her; as a result she fell over a log. She fell on a rock that cut into her back, but she couldn't move. He was right in front of her. Tears began to fall from her eyes.

"Remus," she sobbed. "Remus, it’s me. Remus, I know you’re in there.

Can’t you hear me?" she choked out.

Her only answer was that howl. She knew what he was going to do. His wolf didn't know her. He must not have taken his Wolfsbane Potion. He wouldn't have done this other wise. He snarled at her sobbing form.

"Remus, baby, please, are you in there? Remus, please." He snapped his jaws at her. He bent down until his face was right at hers. She saw her shaking form in those amber eyes. The eyes she knew so well. The only difference was Remus wasn't in there.

He raised his head and snarled at her. "Remus! Remus, don't do it, please." He didn't respond. He did the thing she knew he was going to do. He growled at her and dove at her. She put her arms over her face, as a feeble attempt to protect herself. His long canine teeth went deep into her right arm.

The wind stopped whispering, the leaves stopped shaking . All that was heard was the scream of a young woman being torn apart by a were-wolf.

Nymphadora Tonks sat bolt upright in her bed, screaming. She glanced wildly at her surroundings. She was in her bed, in her room, in her house.

"Nymphadora?" Tonks nearly jumped out of her skin as a hand touched her bare arm. She turned to see the amber eyes of her husband, Remus Lupin.

"Nymphie," Remus said, worriedly. "What’s the matter?"

Tonks looked at her arm and the rest of her body in turn. There were no bite marks of any kind. She glanced out the open window to see the half moon hanging in the sky. It was a dream. No, it was a nightmare.

She glanced back into the worried eyes of her husband and said,

"Nothing, love. Just a nightmare. Go back to sleep."

Remus didn't look convinced. "Are you sure?"

Tonks put her hand to his face and kissed him. "Yes Remus, love. Go back to bed. I'm fine." Remus smiled at her and nodded. He lay back down and was asleep in minutes. Tonks, however, was not so lucky. 'Why did I have that dream,' Tonks questioned herself. 'He’s my husband and he loves me. His also the father of the child I'm carrying.' Tonks smiled and rubbed her stomach. Remus didn’t know yet. She had found out a week ago; she was waiting for the right time to tell him.

'Maybe I'll tell him tomorrow,' Tonks thought. 'It will be some good news.' She heard the wind blow again. 'How silly I've been. Everything will be alright.' She lay down next to her husband and was soon asleep.

-

The wind whipped thought the trees to talk to the moon. The wind said,

"She’s wrong, you know. Nothing will be alright.' The moon seemed to nod in agreement. They were both right. The worst was yet to come.
