Regina took the small box from Fred, slid her finger under the paper and carefully unwrapped it. She slipped the lid of the box off and stared at the exquisite dragon hair clip with matching earrings. The dragons were made out of jade and edged with gold. The hair clip was large enough to hold Regina's hair in a high ponytail but small enough to hold a small amount of her hair away from her face. She pulled the earrings from the box and removed her small gold studs to put her new earrings on. The dragon earrings dangled about an inch from her earlobes. They swung with each turn of her head.

A typical day in the lives of Mr and Mrs H J Potter suddenly becomes far from typical when Harry makes a chance discovery.

In J K Rowling's canon we only really see Hogwarts from the point of view of the students, glimpses into the lives of the staff are rare and tantalising. Behind the Staffroom Door is a story set some hundred years before the main action of the canon. Its main character is DADA teacher, Peregrine Proudfoot and how he deals with running the school for a very ill Headmaster and handling staffroom politics.

Struggling to find sense in this land of hypocrisy and war, they fumble nervously to care for themselves.

In the end, he wondered whether the boy's name might have made a target of him - his first name even more than his last.
