His last resort should his Horcruxes, in the unlikely event, fail to save him. Now Draco/Voldemort's evil is becoming more and more apparent, signs and strange events only hinting at Harry, and the wizarding world's, ultimate fate.

What could make Remus Lupin such a reserved & fearful boy, rarely giving into the antics of his friends? I've endeavored to answer this. It's my 3rd finished fic ever. It isn't my 1st Remus fic, but it is the 1st I've posted. I'm a little nervous. I'm sort of a fanfic virgin, so be gentle with me.It's a small departure from the romantic stuff that is usually so well received by everyone, so I really hope that people get it. I would say enjoy, but given the content, the word might be ill-suited. In this, he's a young boy. It's set prior to going to Hogwarts, & immediately after the full moon following his recovery from the attack that Fenrir made on him.

Over a month has so far passed since that final showdown at Hogwarts, yet STILL — the young adult wizard cannot sleep, cannot close his eyes without seeing vivid images of that horrific night jog hauntingly across his mind without end. Nevertheless, as Harry now returns to Hogwarts for his rather "belated" seventh year (if one could call it), an unexpected person shockingly spotlights into Harry's traumatized life, even proving to be the beginning of a new, unimaginable attraction and interest: Draco Malfoy!
