Voldemort seems to have died. But a characteristic property of many events occurring both in the wizarding world and the Muggle world is that things aren't always what they seem. The moment Draco Malfoy was branded with the Dark Mark, Voldemort discreetly placed a curse on him which would allow Voldemort to possess Draco Malfoy should he die. His last resort should his Horcruxes, in the unlikely event, fail to save him.
