Voldemort seems to have died. But a characteristic property of many events occurring both in the wizarding world and the Muggle world is that things aren't always what they seem. The moment Draco Malfoy was branded with the Dark Mark, Voldemort discreetly placed a curse on him which would allow Voldemort to possess Draco Malfoy should he die. His last resort should his Horcruxes, in the unlikely event, fail to save him. Now Draco/Voldemort's evil is becoming more and more apparent, signs and strange events only hinting at Harry, and the wizarding world's, ultimate fate.

This is a short fan fiction that I wrote for a competition on another site. As the title sugests, it focuses on the veil in the Department of Mysteries.

It's up to the normal people now, to become heroes in a world where nothing is right. Told partly in Voldemorts PoV. Post-HBP, not too shippy.

Eighteen-year-old Harry Potter, despite being the celebrated "Chosen One" who'd recently vanquished He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named at last (not to mention his preceded glory as the "Boy Who Lived"), suffers greatly in the aftermath. Over a month has so far passed since that final showdown at Hogwarts, yet STILL — the young adult wizard cannot sleep, cannot close his eyes without seeing vivid images of that horrific night jog hauntingly across his mind without end. Nevertheless, as Harry now returns to Hogwarts for his rather "belated" seventh year (if one could call it), an unexpected person shockingly spotlights into Harry's traumatized life, even proving to be the beginning of a new, unimaginable attraction and interest: Draco Malfoy!

Harry Potter enters his first two years at Hogwarts and weird things begin hapening to him. With everything going on in his first year, Voldemort is the last thing on his mind. Harry trys contacting his parents, and later on trys to discover why weird things are happening to him.

The war is over, but death and despair have been known to overstay their welcome. (Harry reads a newspaper.)

What really drives Harry to continue in the face of insurmountable odds?

Neville is having dinner with his old friends. Everything will go according to plan...but whose plan is it?

Given how events in this story play out, it's hard to say whether it's a sequel or prequel to Erasure. In the course of saving a life, Harry unknowingly creates his worst nemesis - Lord Voldemort.

Mystique Montague, only at the age of 15, has been forced to marry a certain Draco Malfoy. Her parents have moved her from her hometown of Paris, France and enrolled her into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Like her mother before her, and all the females in her mother's ancestry, Mystique has a deadly secret-she isn't full human. Though to the eye you can hardly tell. As she tries to acclimate herself to her new surroundings and her fiance, Mystique slowly starts to loose hold of her instincts. Meanwhile, she starts to fall in love with one who isn't her betrothed and Hogwarts is under the tyranny of Dolores Umbridge. Will instinct or morals guide her, destroy her or destroy those around her?

This important question needs to be answered. Reputations are at stake.

Voldemort has started a diversity campaign to pull the wool over the eyes of Wizarding public. Draco does his part by starting a Gay Straight Alliance at Hogwarts. So Harry decides to seduce Draco to discover the secret plans of the Dark Side. This should all go as planned, unless Harry gets too romantic and catches feelings for Draco… H/D
