Prologue:

Smiling beguilingly, Cara Dawson looked at her brother, her large azure blue eyes welling with tears.

Hugging him, she stepped back, watching her brother get in the sleek, black limousine.

Being a rich girl had its upsides, but it also had ugly, dark sides...

Wiping furiously at her tears, she ran her small hand through her pale, blonde hair,

Biting her lip anxiously, hoping her brother would like Durmstrang like her father had...

8 Years Later:

Cynicism was etched in her eyes behind her thickly veiled amusement.

"Draco," She warned coldly, hiding a smirk.

"Cara. Stay away from me... I thought your father already taught you HOW to do that?"

She winced. Her father knew efficiency was important to the rich and powerful.

He'd taught her at a very young age.

Cara had the emotional scars to prove it.

Looking up at him, she saw surprise enter his face and cursed.

It'd slipped.

Draco Malfoy knew she was as vulnerable as HELL.

Not that Hell was vulnerable but it was a metaphor she liked to use.

Glaring at him, she walked away.

She passed Harry Potter who looked at her strangely with his enigmatic emerald-green eyes.

Sneering at him quickly, she drawled with her syrupy, husky voice, "What's wrong Potter? Lost your filthy mudblood or Weasel. I won't be surprised if he's fallen through the hoops. Or is it that one of your girlfriends dumped YOU..."

He gazed at her as if he was wounded than done something that completely disarmed her.

He answered.

"I was actually looking for you..."

Cautiously, she asked, "Why?"

"Dumbledore wants to see us."

Following him towards the magnificent, stone gargoyles, Cara stared into their cold eyes, shivering.

She watched "Potter" say the password as she stepped onto the cool marble.

Reaching the mahogany door, she knocked, hearing the word "enter".

Opening the door, her eyes met intelligent blue ones.

"Harry," he answered, turning so he faced her, "Cara."

Albus Dumbledore gestured to the comfy armchairs.

"You better sit down..."

Cara stared at him incredulously, as if he was mad.

"He's finally of the rocker," she muttered.

"No, Miss Dawson. I think not..."

His eyes twinkled knowingly.

"I know you think this mission is very far fetched. But as you know, Hogwarts founders were alive at that time. You must act as you are from that time, so you can collect the golden locket... Harry; your ancestors were very rich Muggles, who were in fact Dukes.

When you travel to Regency London, you will take the place of your great, great Grandfather. He will then cease to exist until you leave again. Cara, YOU will become a debutante, taking place of your great, great Grandmother. Your powers will also be stripped off you. The rest will unfold..."

Dumbledore, one of the most powerful wizards of their time, Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry looked at them expectantly, his palm stretched out.

Cara and Harry, intelligent enemies from opposite houses, accepted the old mans hand.

"We promise we'll abide your rules."

Cara gave Harry a look that clearly said she would pay him a life of hell.

Harry chuckled throatily, whispering, "We'll see Dawson..."
