One Christmas Eve, after a particularly unpleasant Occlumency lesson, Severus is visited by a ghost. Lily is furious over how he has treated her son—and determined to make Severus see just how much Harry needs him. Loosely based on "A Christmas Carol".

One night at Grimmauld Place, before they are to embark on the war against Voldemort, Harry finds himself contemplating a flood of thoughts on his best friends' relationship.

Mr. Weasley gets the family a new... Well, I dunno if one would consider it a pet. All humor and tormented Weasleys, Harry and Hermione at the Burrow. If you've played "Chamber of Secrets" on PS2 or Game Cube then you pretty much have got the idea of what this is about. (Think about what Harry has to defeat in the beginning before degnoming.)

Near the beginning of his sixth year, Harry catches Crookshanks swearing in Parseltongue. Investigation leads to a long talk about Sirius, Slytherins, the prophecy, hunting, history, and house-elves. Absolutely nothing to do with the Time's Riddle series.

The final showdown is over and Voldemort has fallen at the cost of many lives. The victory is bittersweet and Draco Malfoy is there by Harry Potter's side to witness the demolition of a happily ever after ending.

I can’t believe I’ve lost him. I just can’t.... Preparing to leave, to spend the remainder of the summer before his final year at Hogwarts somewhere else, Harry takes a few moments to speak to the only one he can tell anything without feeling ashamed: his diary. A sort of companion piece to The End of Innocence and The Beginning of the End, but not a sequel.
