I wrote this a while ago when I was depressed and when I re-read it, it made me wonder if it was how Harry would feel after certain events in OotP. So, without changing anything that I said, Harry reflects and shows what's under his happy mask.

What if it was discovered that Harry isn't an only child, and his only sibling has fallen into the wrong company? Harry has always been good at being the hero, saving everyone who needs help, but what happens when he can't save them, when the one person who needs saving is him. What happens when he wants to fight back, but if he does he's risking family? What happens when water becomes thicker blood? What happens when he meets his pathological enemy?

Songfic to "On My Own" from Les Miserables. Ginny is the main focus of the story, with her thinking of Harry. Hermione stars as Cosette. I went to see Les Miserables at the Fifth Avenue and this popped into my head...I think it works.
