All thanks to Voldemort. With this in mind, Harry begins to become obsessed with wanting to murder Voldemort. It's all he can ever think about. So he begins to lose interest in everything else--even Quidditch, which he quits. His grades also continue to drop. His friends try to help him, but are unsuccessful. Even the new DADA teacher tries, but fails. What happens when the only person who CAN help is your most hated enemy? H/D; R/Hr; G/N.

This story is loosely based on the film It's a Wonderful life. Mostly the idea of what would happen if someone was granted the wish that they had never been born.
