Remus saw Harry’s pain. He saw it from the moment the boy, or rather, man, walked through the door. He wished he could do something to dull the anguish in Harry’s eyes. But that seemed difficult while he was still dealing with his own hurt.

A coarse beard irritated his pale skin, though he refused to complain. There were much worse matters to resolve. Wiping a bead of sweat from his brow, he gripped his wand even harder. Glittering stones of onyx darted back and forth across the battlefield, assessing the situation.

It it common knowledge, in the wizarding world, that Salazar Slytherin was one of the founders of Hogwarts' School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and that he left after the foundation. But who knows about his childhood and his family? Who knows where he learnt magic and came up with this project?
