Author's Note:
Okay. I wrote it, but that doesn't mean I believe in it. Still, it was fun to write. And yes, it was late and I was tired.

Fear.

Greed.

Anger.

These are the only real human emotions. All others are based from it.

Don't like it, then go on and lie to yourself. Tell yourself it's not true, you'll be much happier. Truth hurts, so listen or continue your denial.

Fear is what keeps us going. Fear of the consequences if we do something to stop us from doing it, our precious "laws," and "values," and "morals." Why do we hold them up, to stop the big, bag men to kill us. Fear of death haunts every soul and it drives you, it drives you to feats to avoid conflict even when it makes you do things you don't wish to. Fear means order, doesn't it? Fear means power, if men fear you; they will do as you wish. So, invoke fear and cause terror, it is no different than what you live in now. Your precious, useless Ministry of Magic has "laws." And what makes people obey them you ask? Fear.

Greed, greed drives us to act the way we do. The desire for something greater, even the greatest feats in the world are based on greed. You vanquish the greatest of foes and the largest of demons, for what? I'll tell you what, for fame, for glory, for power. That foolish Potter, he thinks he performs only the acts of "righteousness." Weak fool, how he has eluded me for so long is beyond my comprehension. He acts for glory too; it is the only way to explain his actions. He takes the body of the spare back with him, the Cedric boy. Why? To impress everyone, to be the goddamn hero, to impress the oriental girl he has a crush on, the Chang girl. It's amazing the things that children tell their parents who tell me. Oh, I have plans for the Ravenclaw Chang.

Perhaps he even loves her, but that it impossible. True love does not exist, only fear. Fear of being alone. Fear of not fitting in if you don't get the girl. Fear of exclusion, fear of being only with one's self. When one is alone with one's self for many years one learns to simply exist with fear and therefore without many of the normal emotes that the masses suffer.

And anger, that is the greatest of the lot. It leads to nearly everything. Why am I the "big, bad man?" Anger, they hate me because they have been told to, they fear even my name their fear turns so easily into anger. Their lust for my blood makes them so much easier to turn around and have that same vigor and anger push them to great feats for me. Hahahahahaha, the human emotes. They mean only darkness, fear, anger and greed is all that drive us. Even you.

Still don't like it? Then lie. Forget. You never heard it.

"It can't be right; it's against what I've been told. I'm afraid of what this means. That's not what I heard before. He's wrong. He's "evil." I hate him. I want his blood. He is my eternal enemy. I wish to destroy him; I shall be the greatest of heroes."
