Dobby, you is not worthy of the name of "house-elf." You is not knowing that the house-elf is not a human being, but a race enchanted in a most noble and honorable spell. We is gifted with the most highest magic, but we is not using it for the house-elves. We is gifted with the highest honor, the service to masters that is needing the house-elf's care and attention.

Dobby, why do you ask why is we enchanted? Why is you so negligent in the attitude of the house-elf? You is knowing the start of the noble enchantment of the house-elf's race. Many long years ago, the wizards and witches is being hurt by the non-magical peoples, and we is feeling sorry for them. They is the magical peoples that is made the most miserable, because they is unable to make the magic inside part of their lives. The centaurs and unicorns, the giants and mermaids, they is free in the wilderness. But the human being is having to live with the human being, and they is living in villages of muggled thinking. They is not using their ability to do anything around the house, but is only learning to use magic in secret, away from village eyes. So our ancestors took pity. The house-elf race is proud, because we is taking the greatest magical gifts and making the most honorable decision, to help the less fortunate.

Dobby, you is calling your old master "bad dark wizard." Why is you forgetting the start of Salazar Slytherin's pain? Most magical of the Hogwarts Four, he is feeling the most miserable for not using his magic. Hogwarts School was founded to give the wizards and witches freedom to be magical, to be what they is, with humans same as them. But we is binding ourselves before Salazar Slytherin and Hogwarts, we is helping the magical humans our own way. We is magically doing chores, because it is miserable to know that it must be done the Muggle way when it could be done the magical way. So we is doing it for them the magical way, and they is happy. They is knowing that they is not alone in magic, even in a Muggle village.

Dobby, you is knowing why house-elves is only in old families. We is binding ourselves many long years ago, and they is happy to have us. Salazar Slytherin is always saying he is unable to repay us for what we do, but we is not wanting payment. We is only wanting to light a dark life, so we is not wanting him to feel sad. We is wanting to help the wizards, so many house-elves is coming to Hogwarts, because we is knowing the school is the biggest help to wizards. So the house-elf is proud of its noble sacrifice, and speaks always of Salazar Slytherin's gratitude.

Dobby, who is you to judge? Who is you to take a side different from the Malfoy family? They has forgotten the love Salazar Slytherin is having for the house-elves, but speak only of his pain, the pain we wanted to heal. They is thinking the house-elf is a worthless creature, and you is ought to be happy. The Malfoys is having no pain like Salazar Slytherin, and the good house-elf is overjoyed. The good house-elf is wanting its masters to be happy, the good house-elf is feeling successful. But you is hurting Mr. Malfoy, you is taking sides against him and He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.

Dobby, you is helping the Boy-Who-Lived because he is making the house-elf's life easier. Why is you thinking comfort greater than the happiness of others, like the miserable human being? In you, where is our ancestors' noble character? We is dedicated to the life of service, and we is getting pleasure from our masters' pleasure. Winky is properly ashamed. Mr. Crouch is unhappy with Winky, but is needing her help. Winky is wanting Mr. Crouch to let her help, but Mr. Crouch is not wanting her. Winky is miserable because Mr. Crouch is miserable, and Winky has been shamed.

Dobby, the house-elf is not downtrodden! The house-elf's pride is in being enslaved! Is helping Winky when she is drunk the most noble thing you is able to do? Winky is not your master! What race exists in the world that is not helping its own kind? The house-elf helps the wizarding race in compassion and faithfulness, do you understand, Dobby? The house-elf is not hired for gold! Miss Hermione is muggle-born, and is not knowing, but why is you not knowing? Her insults Winky can take, but your behavior, Winky is not able to. Where is your shame, that you should feel when Miss Hermione and her friends is giving you clothes? Why is you taking pride in a house-elf's shame? You is not a house-elf. You is not a house-elf, and Winky is not forgetting her Mr. Crouch, like you is forgetting Mr. Malfoy. Professor Dunbledore is not Winky's master, and you is not telling Winky different!
