Bellatrix is a simple farm girl in the summer sun, and she serves her Lord. The wind whistles tunes and dances on bare shoulders, the chains clamber against flesh and iron, and the blood drips, one-two, on the tiling.

The Lestranges would do anything for Lord Voldemort. Anything at all. Bellatrix/Rodolphus, disturbing.

Five-years-old Andromeda is okay with Bellatrix being older, because there's nothing Bella can do Andromeda can't do just as well. Isn't there?

In their separate cells in Azkaban prison, two detainees think their separate thoughts and slowly feel themselves go mad.

After the defeat at the Department of Mysteries, Bellatrix Lestrange's spirit seems broken, and she wastes away unto death. But even as she slips away, Bella's indominable spirit protests that with sufficient will, even Death may be overcome. But now, even as Rodolphus takes a new bride, will Bellatrix return again to him from beyond the grave?

Bellatrix is staying at the Riddle House with her husband and stays up one night to do some thinking.

Burning with zealous fire, she walks in time to the drum of her god, the drum that beats within her.

"Late at night, she thinks of her." - Molly and Bellatrix remember.

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry sits high, overlooking a lake in an isolated part of the countryside. ``At night, the lake looks black in the moonlight, like blood does, and the windows open like eyes with candlelight behind them. From the outside, you can circle the castle and find the windows of Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff, but you will not see Slytherin. They are reached through the dungeons. (One scene that embodies exactly what Slytherin House is. Set in the James Potter years. Rated what it is basically because it's a little creepy.)

Attempts to educate the three daughters of Druella Black according to their station do not exactly go as planned.

Sometimes, when I’m bored, or at another pointless Death Eater meeting, I think about that tapestry, the one in my aunt Black’s home. I remember the feel of it - it was soft, and the gold threads were so intricately woven, so perfect, it seemed. Of course, there were its flaws- the small burned names, and little holes, but other than that it really was very lovely. I remember, when I was a small child, tracing my index finger along the gold line that seemed to run forever…forever, and forever, for all eternity.

Snape is haunted by memories, and has a meeting with temptation in the form of Bellatrix Lestrange. Because no one can remain impassive forever, and it is not only fools who can wear their hearts on their sleeves.
