When Lily Evans is the victim of a love potion that makes her drool over Professor Slughorn for two days, there is no doubt in James Potter's mind that Snape was somehow (however directly or indirectly) involved. Eager to use any excuse to terrorize Snivellus, Sirius works up a masterful plan of revenge that will make Snape the victim of his own trick. No one listens to Lupin when he desperately seeks to divert the twisted scheme, and no one escapes the disaster that ensues when it becomes dreadfully screwed up. Everybody/Somebody (but mostly artificial).

Albus Dumbledore sneaks out at night in his seventh year upon the prompting of a friend and reluctantly discovers his own power.

It's nearing Christmas at Hogwarts, but the year has been a little less than warm and toasty for the Hogwarts staff as they gather in the staff room for tea or, in some cases, a milkshake. Facing the dangers of Christmas--mistletoes and old classic Christmas tunes--they manage to confuse themselves with a horrific combination of irritability, Christmas spirit, and somber exhaustion.

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry sits high, overlooking a lake in an isolated part of the countryside. ``At night, the lake looks black in the moonlight, like blood does, and the windows open like eyes with candlelight behind them. From the outside, you can circle the castle and find the windows of Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff, but you will not see Slytherin. They are reached through the dungeons. (One scene that embodies exactly what Slytherin House is. Set in the James Potter years. Rated what it is basically because it's a little creepy.)

The Tri-Wizard Tournament is on, the new DADA teacher is crazier than ever, and McGonagall is getting sick of Snape in what rates as one of the most badly behaved years in his teaching career. How can all of this madness be present in one staff room without someone getting KILLED? CONSTANT VIGILANCE!!!! is what the DADA teacher would say, but to the rest of us, that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Anyway, read to find out for yourself.

As the Quidditch Championship game approaches, the teachers in the staff room sit around being competitive, tense, or -in the rare case of Remus Lupin- placidly amused and content. For once, the problem person at Hogwarts is not the DADA teacher, and everyone is very happy about it... except Snape. Of course, we can't count him because he's rarely ever happy about anything that everyone else in the staff is happy about. Rated R for horror and sexual content- no, I'm kidding. This is a child safe story, ladies and gentlemen.

The Hogwarts staff has, once again, gathered to eat lunch. Once again, they are tormented by a horror-inspiring DADA teacher. This man makes the Basilisk look like a giant, murderous snake. Well, anyway, it's the sicho-romantic of Hogwarts, the incompetent, over-confident GILDROY LOCKHART! (Featuring a cameo by Dumbledore.)
