And So the World Falls to Pain by Heart of Spells
07/24/2011AU. When an illness sweeps the entire world, Sirius must fight to protect the people he cares about as the dead begin to rise. Remus is on the other side of the continent, working desperately to develop a means to put the dead back where they belong. Sirius is trapped in the heart of London with a widower and a group of frightened children. Can they survive until they find one another?
In the world of magic, cruelty takes on physical incarnations: monsters, dark arts and Voldemort, all terrifyingly real, yet comfortingly separate from the good. But in the world of everyday, non-magical life, evil is much less easy to define. Cruelty and hatred hide beneath the plastic exterior of everday life, and no one is untouched. Take a look at the reality that lies behind the mask, and see for yourself what it really means to be normal.

Possession by Re'em
09/08/2003In the mirrors of Tom Riddle’s mind magic bounces off, myriad reflections merging into each other. Minions of the gods of Possession and Illusion, Magic is dichotomous and Violence, compulsive. Because in the end the thrill is in killing – and in being killed.

The Curse of Lycanthropy by Regina Noctis
08/23/2008Listen, my children, and let me tell you a tale. . . one of horror, despair, and vengeance served. Strengthen your hearts, my children, for this tale is not meant for the weak. . . Curiousity Can Hurt by Miss.EyeShudB3Blund3
08/03/2005“Weasley,” I said, trying my best to have a soft voice, but I could tell it still frightened her since her shoulders seemed to tense up. She froze in the doorway. It was dark and we were alone. Ginevra Weasley and I were alone in the Potions dungeon late at night. She slowly turned around and she looked enchanting. I couldn’t believe it. A Malfoy is supposed to despise Weasley’s, not think they’re the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen. NEW VERSION!!!!

The Ringing - Young Remus Lupin by The Juvenyle Chylde
02/27/2009What could make Remus Lupin such a reserved & fearful boy, rarely giving into the antics of his friends? I've endeavored to answer this. It's my 3rd finished fic ever. It isn't my 1st Remus fic, but it is the 1st I've posted. I'm a little nervous. I'm sort of a fanfic virgin, so be gentle with me.It's a small departure from the romantic stuff that is usually so well received by everyone, so I really hope that people get it. I would say enjoy, but given the content, the word might be ill-suited. In this, he's a young boy. It's set prior to going to Hogwarts, & immediately after the full moon following his recovery from the attack that Fenrir made on him.

But when a British Auror becomes the latest victim, his partner joins the American Ministry in the investigation, only to find one conclusive possibility in the form of a creature previously only known to Plains Indians that shows no compassion and no desire to stop killing... The Deer Woman
The House-Elf by spitefire
11/07/2010A Toadstool Tale by Beatrix Bloxam (an author famed for her banned series of Wizarding children's books because they have nauseated her readers). The House-Elf tells the tale of a young boy and his family's house-elf. It is inspired in part by the children's book Goodnight Moon and provides a possible reasoning for elf servitude. Warning: graphic violence.
