Severus is welcomed to Hogwarts by very unpleasant news. Remus Lupin is the new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher. And the blasted werewolf brings only trouble to Severus. And this annoyingly fuzzy feeling to his stomach.

Lupin's attempts to befriend Severus annoy the Potions master terribly and yet he cannot seem to get the werewolf out of his head. And as if he weren't angry enough, he learns what happened in Lupin's Boggart lesson.

Severus and Lupin have a conversation that confuses the Potions maste immensely. What is it that makes the werewolf so different from everyone else?

The first full moon of the school year has arrived and Severus, as his sense of responsibility demands it, looks after Lupin's well-being. This situation bears unexpected developments and the revelation of quite a few similarities between the two of them.

After a long time of silence between Lupin and Severus, the Potions master decides to confront Lupin to find out what those strange feelings really mean.

Severus avoids Remus and tries to make the students realise that he's a werewolf to get rid of him. An unexpected confession is the result.

When Remus Lupin comes to Hogwarts Severus Snape's life turns upside-down. Though he tries to deny it Severus's emotions are out of his control and in Lupin's hands. Soon Severus finds that there is more to him than he thought, and that even a Slytherin and Death Eater can be very easily understood by a Gryffindor and a werewolf. And maybe only by him. Lupin gradually breaks Severus's defences. If only there weren't the suspicions and the mistrust, the insecurity in every fibre of Severus's body. If only there weren't Lupin's suspicious behaviour, his lies and secrets. Will their bond be strong enough to withstand all doubts, disappointments and pain they are confronted with?
