Harry Potter and the Rise of the Phoenix

Harry is back at the Dursleys'...

Harry takes the Dreamless Sleep Potion Snape has sent him and finds out how the potion reacts this time. Thia shows up, surprising him and spends a few hours with him. Much to Moody's annoyance Harry spends several hours swinging during a thunder storm. We meet Vernon's boss and Voldemort shows us something.

All Harry wanted was the pain to stop. That was it. Yet it hasn't and now his body can take little more. He is once again in that strange place between life and death, unable to hear from those he loves, those who love him. He has forgotten them. Its as if he's at the bottom of a well and he doesn't want to climb out. Those who love him are throwing a rope down to him. Will he be able to see it and if so, will he grab it?

Harry wakes up, still walking, and slowly remembers everything in his life. How will he react to the horrors of the past? Will he choose to stay with the dead or go back to the living?

Harry has decided to go back - what will he find once he wakes up? How will his friends react to his choice to try to take his own life? Who yells in this chapter and who snogs a bit?

Harry lets Professor Dumbledore know

Remus, Thia, Tonks, McGonagall, Molly, and Snape head over to the Dursleys to give them a piece of their minds. Will Nettle's fears be founded and the Dursleys sent to St. Mungo's for permanent spell damage, or will the adults act like adults? Harry begins rehabilitation, and gets to fly for the first time since Remus and Tonks' wedding. They take a little "vacation" somewhere and we learn a bit more about Hermione. It should be fun!

Harry spends the week at Hermione's place re-learning what it means to be a kid. He and Ginny get

July 31st has finally arrived and the traditional Weasley wake-up call is once again evoked. A chapter filled with surprises, including frog spawn in someones bed, Hermione's old best friend, a few kisses for the birthday boy, and a how boat load of gifts! Will Harry's birthday turn out better then last years? Or will the horrible author torture the poor lad just a tad bit more? I know the answer, but do you?

We find out what happened at Privet Drive and Harry and Ron have a 'grown up' conversation. Later that day, Harry has a very 'family' dinner: Ron gets teased, we find out that someone else is a Cannon fan, Bill inserts his foot in his mouth, a Seeker compition is promised, some future plans are made, and Harry recieves a very important letter. Finally the chapter ends in chaos and resolution.

It is time for Ginny's sweet sixteenth and Harry has no idea what to get her. In the end he settles for an I.O.U. one birthday gift and a date. We visit Diagon Alley, where Harry gets her the perfect gift and realizes just how low companies will go to make a galleon off his name. Then Harry and Ginny and have that promised date... and dare I say it... a "Talk"!

Harry and Ron realize that knowing of a problem doesn't make it easier to solve. Ginny meets her new owl and comes to a life changing decision. Dumbledore and Harry sit down and FINALLY talk. However, this leads to a small detail that throws Harry's world off-balanced once more. An interesting talk with the most unlikely of persons sheds light on the solution to Harry's main problem: sharing!

Harry follows through on the start of his talk. The six he's picked to speak with have much to mull over when he's finished each time. With a surprising turn of events, Harry shows that maybe, just maybe, he has matured a bit. Finally, September first arrives, and with it the rest of the school. During the Welcome Feast, Harry and Ginny start a talk of thier own. How will it end, and what will become of it?

Harry and Ginny must now deal with the events of September First and what it means to now be ex's. Today is also the first day of classes. We meet Professor Burkes, the new D.A.D.A. teacher. On top of that, Harry is surprised by his fellow Healing student.

Harry explains to the D.A. why he did what he did and why he is still fighting. After that we have the final conversation about Harry's past. We learn much from the Daily Prophet and the Quibbler. Finally, Ron does something that surprises not only Harry and Hermione, but every professor and student in the Great Hall.

Harry and Hermione duties as HB/HG have them keeping surprise form the whole student body(even friends). We get to read a bit of the Wild Godesses and Hermione turns 18. (Can anyone say "traditional Weasley birthday wake up call?)Luckily, the students (nor you) will not have to wait too long to find out what the surprise is. Last but not least, a not so happy anniversary is celebrated.

From problems with the dance to deathly allergies, Harry can not have a peaceful several weeks at Hogwarts. Lessons start to become more intense as Harry advances in both the Theory of Greats and Legilimency. All this and more awaits us in this chapter.

Before the ball, Harry has a class with Dumbledore on Theory of Greats. The long awaited and dreaded dance arrives, and who is Harry's date. Some more Weasleys find out that Snape is their Uncle. After an insightful and informing conversation, Harry decides to think about asking Ginny out again. Will Ginny react favorably to Harry's flirting or it he better off looking for a new girlfriend?

Harry and his classmates spend a bit of time in the library "studying" but Harry's nerves will not let him sit still long enough to help Susan with their project. So Harry goes for a run and has a talk long in the making. After that we have the first Quidditch game of the year with a very different outcome. Who will win: Gryffindor or Slytherin?

Harry and Hermione spend a week without Ginny or Ron, both still dying in St. Mungo's. At least, for Harry and Ginny's sake, they do have an antidote for Ginny. Harry finds out who poisoned them, much time is spent at St. Mungo's, and one finally gift from Voldemort is in store to be er... unwrapped by the end of the chapter. If for nothing else, you should read this chapter for my take on the Ravenclaw Tower!

We find out what made Harry pass out last chapter and hear from Voldemort as well. Several people are released from St. Mungo's and a very disturbing rant from Dumbledore surprises everyone. Harry gets the chance for his own rant in Defense Against the Dark Arts and he surprises everyone with his actions.

Harry's decsion to drop Defence Against the Dark Arts has several strange affects on other parts of his life. Something happens that has Professor McGonagall inviting Rita Skeeter and other members of the press and community to Hogwarts. Many memebers of Hogwarts must come to terms with the news that is announced. And the twins and their beloveds try to lighten the mood and plan for future fun.

Snow... covers all impurities with a sheet of pure white. Fire... cleansing, removing the old wood for the new trees to flurish. We find out if anyone was able to pull off a miracle for Albus Dumbledore. Voldemort has one more surprise for those at Hogwarts, not letting them have one moment of peace. How does everyone react to this "Christmas gift" of sorts? Are they ready for such a test?

Well, Dumbledore is dead and buried, and Voldemort\'s Big Plans have failed... or so everyone thinks after the Battle for Hogwarts. However he has one more trick up his sleeve and Blaise is the unfortunate one to figure out what it is. But, by the end of the chapter, I promise, you will have hope! And I rarely, if ever, break my promises!

Christmas has found Hogwarts unprepared for the joyous day. The members of one house (Gryffindor, of course!) go all out, trying to spread the Holiday Cheer. Guest are brought in, gifts are exchanged, brothers are scolded, stories are told, bets are finalized, and songs are sung. A few days later, Remus and Harry take a trip to Gringotts and then to number 7, Greystone Avenue. What's there and where's the third, unexpected place they stop at?
