Lily falls asleep on the back porch and in her dream, remembers the night her parents were murdered.

After James says goodnight to Lily, it is time for her to enter her childhood bedroom for the first time since the days after the murder of her parents.

Lily has to face a night in her childhood bedroom all alone, but the memories overwhelm her so she seeks sympathy in James.

James looked at her and a question immediately appeared on his face. He knew something was wrong, that something had changed. Lily stared up at him from the kitchen table, gazing into his face. The face that she loved, that she dreamt about, that she wanted to cup in her hands and smooth out the worry lines. The face that she had once hoped her children would have.

James is sent packing once again by Lily. Where does he go? Sirius's, of course, and together they try to figure out what to do next.
