That was part of why he was currently sitting on the edge of a cliff, thinking about death.

Since Hermione Granger was a little girl, she would write Santa a letter every year. Every year she'd ask for toys and books. When she got older, around nine, once she'd read so many stories where the leading lady and leading man lived Happily Ever After, she started wanting her own Happily Ever After. So when it came time to write Santa a letter that year, she requested only one thing. She requested that she would someday have her own Happily Ever After. When her Christmas wish never came true, Hermione stopped believing in Santa. Little did she know, was that her Christmas wish would come true, just seven years after she wished it.

The sky was cloudy and her heart was set in stone as she made her way up the stone steps to the snow-white cathedral ahead of her. She was late, she knew, it had taken her forever to get there. All that morning she had sat in her room thinking of all the reasons that she shouldn't go, and yet somehow she found herself there, now thinking that she should turn back.

This story takes place at a wedding. While two lovers' hearts are being united by marriage, another heart is being slowly ripped to pieces because he was too slow and too afraid to say the three simple words that could have made him the happiest man on earth.

Bad things keep happening to Hermione. Harry want's to know why but Hermione refuses to tell him. Then the illnesses take a turn for the worst when Hermione is killed. But is she really dead? Harry thinks so until one night when he sees hope and something else on the horizon...

The third and final installment in the Desperate to Belive trilogy. Harry is back and now it is time to face the people that he left behind. He'll be ok, however, because Hermione'll always be there to see him through the tough times... forever.

Hermione appreciated her friend's efforts to spread the``holiday cheer to her, but wished that, just once, she'd receive a real Valentine card. One that wasn't store bought or had some corny phrase on it. Hermione's wish is about to come true...

Based on the song "Never Saw Blue Like That" by Shawn Colvin. Hermione feels``rejected and Harry comes to cheer her up and they both end up feeling a little something more than friendship.
