Sixth year, SS/OC, OotP spoilers. Severus is caught between two masters. When someone returns from his past he feels he must try to atone for his actions…The Last Sanguimagus is a sixth year fic with a particular emphasis on Snape and an original character, a new instructor at Hogwarts who is NOT teaching DADA. Chapter Two: An Owl from Hermione. Harry is slipping into despair, and Snape is certain that Dumbledore is up to something.

Chapter Three: A Meeting with Dumbledore. Severus is introduced to the new teacher.

Chapter Four: Leaving Privet Drive. Harry is ready for Hogwarts.

Chapter Five: A Midnight Flight. Harry leaves Privet Drive.

Chapter 6: A Day in Diagon Alley. The Trio spend a day in Diagon Alley in preparation for the new school year.

Chapter 7: A Troubled Night's Sleep. Severus dreams, Harry dreams, and Sarah wonders.

Chapter 8: Aboard the Hogwarts Express. Harry gets ready to return to school.

Chapter 9: The Sorting Ceremony. Harry arrives at Hogwarts, and a challenge is issued.

Chapter 10: The Headmaster's Office. Will Harry be allowed to continue his DA meetings? And who knows who the new Gryffindor Quidditch captain is?

Chapter 11: Harry attends his first Talismans class and meets Sarah Tanner, the new Professor. The lesson goes well, but does she have something against Draco?

Chapter 27: Another DA meeting, with an unexpected interruption. Severus returns from a Death Eater meeting.

Chapter 28: The Teacup. Severus realizes he's overbooked. Sarah has a...er...conversation with Sybil. Or at least part of one.

Chapter 29: The Malfoy Affair. Snape attends a fête at Malfoy Manor.

Chapter 32: A Conference at Myrtle's. A new teacher comes to Hogwarts, and Severus must unravel a mystery or two. Sarah monitors another DA meeting; the Trio decide to meet at Myrtle's.

Chapter 33: Meetings. The Trio discuss new information. And there's a staff meeting.

Chapter 34: Gathering for the Dark Mark. A new teacher comes to Hogwarts...and Severus must deal with the repercussions of his actions. Severus prepares himself for a Death Eater meeting.

Chapter 35: The Trip to Hogsmeade. Ron wonders if they'll let him into Zonko's. Severus watches as the DE meeting progresses.

Chapter 36: The Death Eater Meeting. When a victim from his past returns to teach at Hogwarts, Severus must find a way to awkwardly co-exist. Severus watches as the "entertainment" for the meeting is brought in.

Chapter 37: Aftermath. When a new teacher arrives at Hogwarts, Severus must face some difficult truths. Severus deals with the aftermath of the Death Eater meeting.

Chapter 38: the Infirmary. Severus must deal with a new teacher at Hogwarts who happens to be one of his past victims as a Death Eater. Severus must get Sarah to the Hospital Wing.

Chapter 39: Dumbledore's Announcement. When a victim from the past returns to Hogwarts, Severus must deal with the consequences of his actions. Dumbledore makes an announcement that is certain to make waves.

Chapter Forty: A Frank Conversation. Someone from the past returns to Hogwarts to teach, and Severus must deal with the complications that ensue. Severus insists that Sarah discuss things with him.

Chapter 41: New Thoughts. Sarah thinks. Harry thinks. Severus thinks.

Chapter 42: A Breakthrough. Severus has good news.

Chapter 43: The Periwinkle Potion. Severus, Severus, and more Severus.

Chapter 44: An Owl. Severus confronts Sarah about Harry.

Chapter 45: Malfoy Manor. Severus has a conversation with Lucius.

Chapter Forty-six: Potions Class. Hermione is determined to obtain a sample of the potion.

Chapter 47: The Third Treatment. During Harry's sixth year Severus must deal with the duality of his existence. A former student returns to teach a new class. The new DADA teacher is suspicious of Severus. SS/OC. Will Severus's best attempt at the potion help Sarah?

Chapter 50: Cured. Severus administers the final healing treatment to Sarah.

Chapter 51: Sunday Tea. The teachers gather for Sunday tea. A new problem develops.
