The Annoying Ferret

At the end of Chamber of Secrets, many surmised that the diary of Tom Riddle was destroyed. Not so. It was returned to its master, the newly re-risen Voldemort, who would use it to place his memories in the body of his sixteen year old self. Of course, when the wizarding world is suspecting Voldemort of an attack, not a teenage boy, things can be twisted around in such a way that they will never be the same again. Especially when the time before the attack is a length no one was prepared to wait and when the wizarding world is finally assaulted, hell breaks loose. Especially for Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, now seventh years as well as for Ginny Weasley.

It's 1977 and a storm is about to break that will shake the wizarding world to it's very core. Meet Mordred Leaohaire, a fatherless boy who only wants to be accepted; Laine Siswanto, a Star Wars-obsessed Muggle-born; Alcyone Black who wants to get out of her older brother's shadow; and Louis Malfoy who doesn't ``want to be associated with his family. Throw these four together and the next ``seven years at Hogwarts will surely be adventurous, especially with whispers of Voldemort's rise to power.

Ginny Weasley has not been sleeping well lately. Her dreams are haunted by a familiar specter and when a certain diary returns, it seems that all hell is about to break loose.

"Tom, what do you want from me?" she had asked, her face so open and trusting. That was the first time I had saw her. She was such a child then, barely ready to stray from her mother's apron strings, unable to have an inkling of an idea of what the world outside her safe, warm home was like.
