Black Lily

Lily has changed. Sweet innocence is gone for good as she reveals her true colours at school. James is determined to find out whats going on with her, but may get more then he bargained for, without finding out much...

The Truth is out; Lily is not sweet and lovely and innocent. Her great secret is revealed by her one time friends, a new friendship is made and new pranksters are born. James, watchout you idiot!!

"She's one of the most stubborn, strong-willed, prickly, irritating people I have ever met." He smiled wryly at Remus. "Whenever I'm around her, and I know how she feels pressed against me, what her hair smells like... my brain cells fuse and I stop being able to form coherent sentences."

A twig snapped, and a soft voice swore. Moony’s head snapped up. Prongs’ eyes met Padfoots’.

“Oh shut up you idiot.” She grinned and slipped off his lap and onto the floor. She plucked at her skirt thoughtfully. James licked his lips.

’ Lily closed her eyes, breathing rapidly.

Wait, chest?? With a snap, her eyes were open, and she found that she was curled up in James’s lap. She sat up sharply; she was angry with him! Then she remembered last night, and flopped back against him, causing him to groan with protest.

“God, what the hell is wrong with me?” There was a thought, niggling away at the back of her mind. She squeezed her eyes shut, then opened them again. “No way. Not possible. Don’t even think that.” The thought persisted. Slowly, she pulled her wand out of her pocket, and clenched the ebony wood. She closed her eyes, and murmured the spell that she had read in the library. She opened one eye a slit. Her wand was spitting blue and pink sparks. Her vision clouded, and her lip began to tremble.

“And… and Mr. Lupin here must be-” the werewolf turned a shocking shade of red. Lily cringed.

“Lily would have done it. You know what may happen to her right now, don’t you? That is Voldemort’s doing. Do you not wish to have revenge? He may very well take her away from you. Could you bear to know that he hadn’t got his comeuppance?” But I might die, and she could still wake up. How could I bear to let her wake up and have to be told that I wasn’t coming back because I went on some hare- brained crusade?

“Impressive lack of care for human life, my dear. And I see I was wrong about that mark; it only makes you more interesting, rather than mar your face. I’m so glad you could be here for the floor show.”

She knew. She knew that she could not live with out James, and that she would do anything to get him back. Any thing. Lily knew what she had to do if she wanted to keep James. She closed her eyes.
