The Consequences of Leaving Fanfiction Lying Around

Chapter One

"Hey, George."

"Yeah, Fred?"

"I'm bored--wait, I'm alive again?"

"Looks like it."

"Cool. Oh look, there's the door to the Room of Requirement. We better go in before the sender of that blasted letter comes and kicks our arses."

"So you got one, too?"

"Yeah, I did."

Fred and George opened the door and entered.

"Look, Fred's alive again!" somebody cried from inside and soon a red blur came flying at the baffled Weasley, enfolding him in a bear hug.

"Gerroff, Ginny; you're cutting off my circulation."

George grinned. The smile was quickly wiped off his face when he noticed the others in the room.

"You!" he shrieked, pointing a finger at Lord Voldemort, who was sitting in an armchair, staring at the ceiling.

Voldemort looked down. "Me?" he asked innocently.

"Don't worry George, he and Bellatrix can't hurt us." said Ginny calmly. "Hermione thinks that whoever sent us that letter must have put some anti-Dark Magic ward on this room. You-Know-Who and Bellatrix tried all their favorite curses when they entered, but they didn't work. Harry tried Sectumsempra and that didn't work, either"

Sure enough, Bellatrix was sitting in an armchair like Lord Voldemort. She looked bored, considering that her master was staring at the ceiling. The Golden Trio was off in one corner throwing Voldy and Bellatrix suspicious looks. They were obviously attempting to plot something. Luna Lovegood and Draco Malfoy were looking fidgety. And Harry's parents were snogging in another corner. But nevertheless there was a general air of boredom in the room.

Hermione suddenly noticed something. "Look, there's a book here."

Ron groaned.

"This book looks strange," noted Hermione, turning the tome over and over in her hands.

Ron sighed. "I'll tell you why. This book is pink, frilly, lacy, and has heart stickers all over it."

Ron was right. The book looked like something barfed out of a four year old girl's bedroom.

Hermione was skimming the first few pages. "Why look, Harry's mentioned!" she exclaimed.

The Boy-Who-Lived was now experiencing a nasty sinking feeling.

The others were suddenly interested, so Hermione moved the book out into the middle of the room. Setting it down on a conveniently placed coffee table, she asked, "Who wants to start reading it first seeing as we might as well do something?"

Fred volunteered, picking up the pink monstrosity.

Dreams Do Come True

It was a perfect day. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and all was right with the world.

Voldemort snorted derisively, causing Harry to look alarmed.

Yet none of this seemed to brighten the afternoon for Serenity Starlight. She was such a beautiful and tragic girl. It was hard to look at her and yet not feel any sympathy.

"Serenity...I don't like the sound of this...." Ginny muttered. Luna put a consoling arm around her.

Serenity was soo tragic because her parents died tragically and she was living with her really mean aunt, uncle and cousin, who were all sooo jealous of her beauty and goodness.

George grinned. "Kind of sounds like someone we know, eh?" he asked everyone, looking pointedly at Harry. Lily frowned slightly.

Harry glared back. "Dudley would never be jealous of me, what are you talking about? And I certainly do not have this so called 'beauty and goodness'."

Draco gagged. "Potter, with beauty and goodness?"

"if that was true, then Hell has frozen over," Voldemort stated calmly.

They mistreated her and malnourished her while her cousin Angelica got all the love and attention, leaving poor Serenity to scrub the floor and do all the dirty work.

"Okay, NOW it sounds a bit like me," sighed Harry, leaving Lily to gasp in horror.

"I am going to kick Petunia's arse, just wait and watch..."she grumbled.

There was hardly a night when Serenity wouldn't cry herself to sleep in her dingy bedroom--the cupboard under the stairs.

"Did Petunia make you sleep there, too, Harry?" Lily asked her son. She catches on really fast, doesn't she?

"Yeah..."said Harry.

Lily looked like an overcooked lobster.

Serenity was also very beautiful, with long, sparkly strawberry blonde hair that was always impeccable no matter what. Her glittering amethyst eyes still sparkled with a secret hope. Her porcelain cheeks were flawless; her rosy lips were kissable. Serenity sighed, causing all who heard it to feel their hearts break in compassion and sympathy for this melancholy, but beautiful maiden.

"This is getting ridiculous," groaned Hermione.

"Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high,

There's a land that I heard of once in a lullaby.

Somewhere over the rainbow skies are blue,

And the dream that you dare to dream really do come true," sang Serenity. All the woodland animals flocked to her, adding their own sweet music to her sweet voice.

Hermione shook her head. "Now she has Snow White singing powers!"

Everyone else except Harry and Lily looked confused.

"It's a Muggle children's story," explained Lily.

Then, all of a sudden, there seemed to be sparkles all over the place and a fairy appeared.

"I am here to grant your wish, fair maiden. I know that you love the Harry Potter books and I shall take you to his world," the fairy said gently, tapping Serenity on the head with her wand.

Dead. Silence.

"Mr. Worple must have gone ahead and written that biography without your permission, Harry," said Luna.

"Looks like it."

"And I personally would have hit Miss Serenity on the head much harder that that..." added Ginny sourly.

The world suddenly turned dark.

Voldy looked gleeful. "The fairy must have killed her!"

"Sorry to disappoint you, Voldy," said Fred, reading ahead.

"Damn. And don't call me Voldy."

Bellatrix nodded. "Show the Dark Lord some respect, please!"

"Even if a baby defeated him and then said baby defeated him AGAIN when it turned seventeen?" George asked innocently.

"Are you okay?" a voice said from above.

Serenity opened her eyes and saw a pair of emerald green orbs looking down at her.

Harry sniggered. "I really don't think my eyes look like green crystal balls, than you very much."

"Harry Potter?" she asked, her voice sounding like wind chimes.

Harry smiled at her, displaying an aura of kindness with hidden power.

"Show me that aura sometimes, Potter!" laughed Draco.

Harry glared at the Slytherin.

"Where am I?" asked Serenity.

"You're at Diagon Alley. Everyone else is so worried about you; they thought that you had died."

"Are you in your second year?"

"My third, actually."

Harry and Serenity walked towards the Weasleys and Hermione. Harry couldn't help but feel a bit giddy. 'She is so beautiful!' he thought, captivated.

"Yeah, like I'm that shallow," grumbled the Boy-Who-Lived. "Love is all about looks, right?"

Ron shook his head. "I noticed that you seem to be dating my sister mostly for her looks."

'If I didn't know what love is before, I do know what it is now.'

This was greeted by roars of laughter. Ron and Hermione were clinging onto each other, tears of mirth pouring down their faces. Ginny was pounding the floor in laughter. Even Lord Voldemort and Bellatrix looked amused. James and Lily both had 'congratulations, Harry' looks on their faces.

"Always the ladies' man, aren't you, Harry?" laughed Fred.

"So when's the wedding?" Luna asked, interested.

Harry didn't find this amusing at all.

"Just wait. You lot won't be so happy anymore if one of her little friends come and ensnares you."

The room instantly fell silent.
