George Weasley has an inferiority complex with regard to his beloved but mercurial brother Fred. Though he generally believes himself to be the follower in his brother’s mischief, it is his faith and dedication that sees those oh so clever pranks through to a successful conclusion. Tourists should not be fooled by surfaces, as George is a man of some depth. Do not allow his career as the owner of a joke shop to mislead you. It is a front for his vast spy network. Or, if Voldemort is defeated, it is a joke shop. See Fred Weasley

Ghosts in HPFH seem to favor the solitary tourist. We assume it is because most other kinds of people would find their companionship rather lowering. But other than a few spectral conversations, you can’t really expect much from your average ghost friend. Occasionally they will spy on your love/hate counterpart. But they will also tattle on you so don’t divulge your deepest confidences. And VERY occasionally they have some sort of secret information or ancient lore. But really you are safe to think of them as nonbreathing but moving scenery. See Bloody Baron, Hogwarts

Gifts, whenwe are considering the wrapped present variety, must always be well thought out. Christmas time is an important time for lovers. Mature tourists who have some sort of unresolved tension in their relationship can expect it to become either resolved or carefully ignored in time for the season. Good will toward men and all that sort of thing. Youthful tourists will not be worrying about gifts however, as the Yule Ball provides enough stress. But if you are involved with Severus Snape there will be a significant gift-giving moment. He will be extravagant. Your gift, conversely, will be perfect for the occasion, but not monetarily impressive. Thus everyone wakes up on Boxing Day satisfied. See broomsticks (Note: this entry does not cover Magical Gifts which can be found under their own specific headings) See wandless magic, healing, seer, and shape shifting

Ginny Weasley is like all canon Potterians in that she will require several categories to be fully understood. They are as follows:

GINNY AS BACKGROUND CHARACTER: When she is acting as a background character, this variety of Ginny is a sympathetic ear. She can be trusted to pat your back and mutter some wordless comfort when you are feeling crossed in love. She may even smooth the way for you when you have quarreled with your significant other, by saying a few home truths to either your Other or yourself. You might be mortified by her revelations, but you will be glad she did it in the end. Furthermore, any tourists who are planning on having a makeover or are needing to buy a dress for the Yule Ball are advised to consult Ginny. The rules state that she has excellent fashion scene and a slightly more naughty streak than you with regard to costume. Be warned: After shopping with Ginny, you may find yourself in a more daring form of attire than you previously intended. See Hermione Granger

GINNY AS BACKGROUND ROMANCE is similar to the previous Ginny except that she will be fielding her own romantic difficulties and may not have as much time to dedicate to your problems. Here your relationship may be one of mutual commiseration as you each try to both catch your lover and complete you special project on time. See Draco/Ginny, Harry/Ginny, Hermione Granger, and Homework

GINNY AS LEAD has a mischievous streak. If she is still at Hogwarts, she will try out for the Quidditch Team and become an excellent chaser. This Ginny has a passion for the sport (and also sometimes for Harry Potter who will be her indulgent captain). Her romances will be dogged by her overprotective brothers. Especially Ron, who shows an alarming tendency to either constantly verbally abuse or violently assault her soon-to-be-lovers, whoever they may be. Do not be overly upset for her. She has a temper to match her mother and a will of steel. And, if Ron does not immediately recover, her lover will perform some act of valor and earn his respect. If she has already graduated, she will have an occupation that takes advantage of her artistic skills or her affection for small children (think kindergarten teacher). She will not have seen her significant other for a SIGNIFICANT period of time. He will have reappeared just in time to save her from the jaws of death. And the distressing separation gives the blossoming relationship wings. The new/old couple will be sharing a residence within one month and be engaged within six. Old-fashioned tourists may be assured that they are not marrying in haste. They have secretly been enamored of each other since they knew what love was. See Harry/Ginny, and Draco/Ginny

Graduation is the moment when young Potteriansleave the safety of Hogwarts and enter the cold, cruel, and unforgiving world. Though, when tourists consider the dangers that are ubiquitous to Hogwarts’s corridors, they may begin to wonder what all the fuss is about. Nevertheless, you will be expected to treat this event with all due and undue solemnity. And tourists fond of their alma mater will have no cause to repine, as when danger threatens they will almost certainly find themselves back in its hallowed halls. Or they will return as a professor. See Severus Snape/Hermione Granger, Albus Dumbledore, and Age of Consent

Gryffindor is one of the two most favored houses for Exchange/Transfer Students (the other of course being Slytherin) and Original Characters who are practically perfect in everyway. This makes a certain sense, as only very courageous or very clever people would be able to withstand the pressures of BEING an Exchange Student to HPFH. After all, few have a more uncomfortably interesting time, then the typical Gryffindor Exchange Student. Returning students turned professors will also probably be from this house. Studious or hardworking tourists may find this to be rather unjust but they can take comfort in the fact that it means that the graduates of different houses have actual careers in the real world. See Severus Snape/Original Character

Guilt is the burden tour guides feel most willing to give you. The past of nearly every Potterian contains some sort of shameful and/or traumatic episode that will lead to self-hatred and crippling guilt. But never fear, your transgression is rarely as grave as you think it is. And your conviction that all will despise you when your peccadillo is revealed will soon be discovered to be totally ungrounded. Even when your guilt has some basis in fact. Yes, even if you have tortured, maimed, and murdered; in HPFH your traveling companions will find it in their hearts to forgive you. We think it may be something in the air. See Severus Snape, Draco Malfoy, and Original Characters
