The Adventures of the Marauders... and Some Other Stuff.

The Sirius and James just came from retrieving Peter and Remus from the Hospital Wing. Madam Pomfrey didn't find any type of extreme Cheering Potion on them, and just decided that Flitwick was the one on something. He was always strange.

Sirius is talking Remus' and Peter's ear off about what happened at Potions. James has a silly grin on his face having only passed Lily moments before. He was to busy trying to impress her that he didn't notice the smirk she had on her face while she looked from him to Sirius. Remus is being very moody and eating chocolate by the fistful. Peter is watching Sirius tell the story for the 16^th time with an amazed expression on his face. They are walking to the Great Hall for Lunch.

Sirius: You should have seen his face! Do you know how embarrassed he was?

Remus: No, please, enlighten us AGAIN. *takes an angry bite of his chocolate*

Sirius: Well-

Remus: No, really. Shut up.

Sirius: Fine. Did YOU see his face? *turns to James*

James: *comes back to the world* Of course I did, I was in the same room with you! Don't you remember?

Sirius: *silence*

Remus: *silence*

Peter: *silence*

James: *silence*

Sirius: *decides to ignore James' question* Cheers to the best joke ever played on Snape.

Remus: Yes, yes. Congrats to you, we don't care.

Sirius: I wasn't talking to you. What has your Nifflers in a twist?

Remus: My Nifflers are merely sniffing each other's behinds, thanks. They're not twisted.

Sirius: Whatever. Really, what is wrong with you? It isn't like you to be fussy Moony. You usually tolerate James' and mine immature...ness. Unless...

Remus: Well, I'm not sure if you had noticed anything, like, oh, leaving the parchment behind?

Sirius: And...?There was nothing about you in it...was there?

Remus: But there was plenty about you two.

James: Yes, but nothing bad.

Remus: ...I suppose not.

Sirius: Good. For a second there, I thought that you were just emotional because it's your "special time of the month."

Remus: *almost chokes on chocolate* It's not a special time of the month! It's - it's-

Sirius: What then? And why do you think you're eating so much chocolate?

Remus: Just don't call it that! ... I am craving chocolate if you must know. I always do around the full moon. *eats rest of the chocolate and pulls some more out of his bag*

James: Fine. Your little furry problem. Better? *stares at Remus as he eats half of the chocolate in one bite* You're going to spoil your dinner if you keep that up.

Remus: I don't have a rabbit! AND I DON"T CARE! *takes another bite*

James: No. We can change that. *laughs evilly*

Remus: I hate rabbits! Don't get me one again!

Sirius: Speaking of which, what happened to it?

Remus: *says darkly* I didn't kill it, and that's all that counts.

Peter: *finally joins the conversation after watching it with amusement all this time* I want a rabbit.

Remus: *stunned* Never say that. Just... never say it.

Peter: Who wouldn't want a rabbit? My mom wonders why I have a thing for rats. A rabbit will calm her down a bit.

Remus: Not when she has to clean up after it.

Peter: Oh...I could clean up after it.

Remus: No you couldn't without a bubble head charm.

Sirius: Is THAT why you don't like rabbits, you and your strong sense of smell that is.

Remus: They're bad, alright? They bite and smell.

James: Awww. Poor Moony can't handle one little bunny?

Remus: Well, when you mention that, there were TEN of them within five days.

James: *laughs* You can blame Sirius for that one. He is the one that decided to get you a male and a female so that they "could at least have some fun in that metal cage."

Remus: It was metal for a reason. Conducts electricity easier.

Sirius: What's electricity?

Remus: Muggle Studies class...

Sirius: Which I sleep through...

Remus: Yes. Exactly. It reminds us why you're this way. *eats rest of chocolate bar and reaches in bag for another*

Sirius: What way? *trips over rug*

Remus: Stupid, you stupid prat. *discovers he has no more chocolate left and a tear rolls down he cheek*

Lunch was uneventful, except for when Remus tackled some unsuspecting Hufflepuff that was eating a Chocolate Frog. He then ran away with it giggling.

Sirius: *watching Remus run away while giggling* I think that I am finally starting to rub off on him.

Then for a brief moment, James thought he saw Lily staring at him, but when he looked again, she was talking to one of her friends. Little did he know that she WAS staring at him, and Sirius. What was even worse was that he didn't know what was being said.

James: Hey, Lily is looking at me; I'm going to go talk to her.

Sirius: Wait, give me your wand first.

James: Why?

Sirius: So you don't do anything stupid... with your wand anyway.

James: Fine. *hands wand to Sirius* But I won't do anything stupid.

Sirius: I'm sure.

James: *gets up from the table and goes and sits beside Lily* Good Afternoon Evans.

Lily: *glances at her friends* Potter, I have something that I want to talk to you about.

James: *is in a state of shock*

Lily: *giving James a funny look* Ummm... hello?

James: *shakes head* YOU want to talk to ME?

Lily: If you don't mind.

James: *yells* OF COURSE! HOW ABOUT THE CLOSET?

Sirius: *watching them* Way to go Prongs.

Lily: *looks at all of the people staring at them* How about not.

James: *didn't notice the people staring and yells* OK!

Lily: Follow me. *winks at her friends before taking off*

James doesn't notice any of this, but follows Lily like a lost child. Sirius, on the other hand, is in disbelief. So, of course he is going to follow them. He tells Peter to come, but he is to busy eating to care.
