~Over At the Gryffindor Table~

"Ron she looked at me!"

"So, she always looks at me in that funny sort of way when she drinks something hot and it-"

"No not Hermione! Cho."

"Oh...heh heh..."He took a sip from his Pumpkin juice. "I was just joking..."

"What do you think this means?"

"I don't know?" Ron stuffed his mouth with some potatoes. "Her friends might have said something about you."

"Really? You think so?" Harry Brightened up.

"Wake up and smell the pumpkin pasties, Harry! You are the most famous kid in the wizarding world! Of course they are talking to you!"

"Oh, yeah...that. I thought she might have looked back because she had...never mind..."

"Harry?" Hermione called Harry.

"Yeah..."

"You don't you just tell me what you think it meant. Don't worry I won't laugh." She smiled warmly at him. "Not like Fire Cracker over here." Ron looked up with a scowl on his face.

"Ok...I think Cho...well...er...likes me." He managed to get it out.

Ron almost spat his juice all over the table. Hermione shot a blundering look at him. "Ron is an inconsiderable jerk Harry," She said straightening her face. "Just because you can actually express your feelings, and he can't!"

"HEY!" Ron snapped his head up.

"So are you ready to tell us how you feel about a certain someone?"

Harry nodded. "But do I have to say it here?" Hermione gave him the "you better do it right now" look.

"Ok, ok..." Harry dropped his voice into a low whisper. "I...I...like...Cho Chang..."

"What?" Ron said straining his ears.

"I like Cho Chang."

"Sorry Harry I didn't quite catch that." Hermione said apologetically.

"I SAID 'I LIKE CHO CHANG!' DO I HAVE TO spell it out to ...you...?"

Suddenly the whole Gryffindor table became silent. Ginny who had heard the whole enchilada dropped everything. She had hoped that she would never hear that from Harry. But not only did she hear it but the whole Gryffindor table did too. Hermione looked at Ginny. Her eyes were watery and she was started to turn redder than ever.

"It's ...er...ok Gin..."Hermione started. Ginny got up from the table and broke into a run. Embarrassingly she tripped over her own feet, fell face down onto the cold Great Hall floor, made a tumble, and got back up again to brush herself off and ran away.

"Oh, My..." Hermione said to herself. Ron and Harry just kind of stared in a flabbergasted way at the situation. Ron's mouth just sort of dropped.

"I'll go and alleviate her." Hermione got up and headed for the dormitories.

"My, my, Harry...I didn't know Ginny had it that bad..."

"Me neither..."

Everyone had seen that terrible catastrophe. The whole Hall trembled with laughter, then immediately stopped.

~In the Girl's Dormitory~

Ginny lay on her bed crying her eyes out. I can't believe that happened to me! She thought to herself. It was so embarrassing!! She pulled out her diary.

Still Saturday, November 16

Dear Diary,

I feel like a complete idiot! What the bloody hell is wrong with me? Just now at dinner Harry confirmed the fact that he liked Cho. When I heard it I got up and ran and tumbled and all sorts of tricks. I looked like a...I don't know...jack ass! Well this is my lesson huh? Cho likes him Harry likes her just perfect! "Cho is this and that, so amiable!" "Look at her playing Quidditch!" That's why she sucks at it! Perfect bitch! That's why she can't catch the snitch!

You know what...I'm going to do something nobody will expect from me. I will...um...er...I haven't thought about it yet, but don't worry! I will think of something! But in the meanwhile I'll just try to not look so stupid to Harry and make sure that Cho will go down! ...Um...somehow...

Well I'll a new entry when something else happens, ok?

Ginny

P.S.-Why am writing to some inanimate object as though it would write or answer back?

I just did it again! And Again! And...Damn I need to get a life.

I wonder if Fred and George sell any...

"Ginny? Are you alright?" Hermione asked worried.

"Yeah, yeah...I'm fine." She wiped her tears away.

"Don't be hurt by what Harry said ok? I mean he doesn't know that he is playing himself." Ginny looked up. Hermione gave a warm smile.

"But Hermione that would mean I'm playing myself! Harry doesn't even notice me just like Cho doesn't notice me!" A tear escaped from her eye.

"Oh Ginny!" She hugged Ginny. She cried on Hermione's shoulder. "Ginny, don't worry about it, ok? He doesn't know what he is passing by. Forget everything I said. He'll come to his senses. ...Hopefully."

Ginny stopped crying. "Hermione, if like Ron so much why don't you just tell him?"

Hermione almost choked at the question.

"Uh...I don't know Gin. I don't think he's ready to accept it. He's one of those guys that you tell you like them and then after that they completely ignore you. I don't want to go through that especially because he is my one of best friends."

"Oh..." Ginny pulled away from Hermione. Hermione sat on the edge of Ginny's bed. They sat in an awkward silence.

"WOW! Look at the time. We better get to bed." Hermione soon left to go to bed.
