Green with Envy

"Do think he's under a curse," Ron said sarcastically. "It's just so...weird!"

"Ron, I think you are overreacting. Can't you see? Harry's has a crush." Hermione said.

Ron wrinkled his nose. "It looks sickening!" "HA! I could have sworn you had that same look on your face last year when you saw um...who was it again? Fleur Decalour?" Hermione smirked. Ron blushed, even his ears turned red.

"Well...that was different..."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever."

They looked back at Harry. He was staring at Cho Chang. He had that dazed look on his face. He hadn't notice that he had poured his orange juice to the point it had over flowed his goblet.

"Harry! What the bloody hell is wrong with you?!" Ron yelled. Harry snapped out of his daydream and jumped at the flooding orange juice. Hermione did a quick drying spell and the orange juice suddenly evaporated.

"Harry? Is everything ok?" Hermione asked.

"Yeah...everything is ok." He replied.

"Come on Harry, you know you can tell us anything!" Ron said as a huge grin spread on his face.

"You two know, don't you?" He said hopelessly.

"Well, it does kind of speaks for itself." Hermione said as she took a sip from her goblet.

"Yeah Harry. All you do is sit there and drool all over yourself. I mean it's no that bad...It's just that you shouldn't do near Ginny," Ron started. "She might curse Cho or something, you know something simple. Probably the Curse of the Bog- OW!" Hermione kicked him hard in the shin.

"Don't listen to him Harry," Hermione smiled at him. "He just can't get over the fact Fleur picked the other bloke, Roger." Ron furiously turned red as a beet.

Then he cooled down.

"How's Viktor Krum? Do you call him Vik or Viky?" He smirked. She frowned. "For your information, I call him Viktor...if that makes you feel any better." She stood up. "I've got to get going. I told Neville to wait for me at the library." She got up and left. Ron turned to Harry.

"So...you gonna talk to her?" he shifted his eyes towards the Ravenclaw table.

Harry looked a bit red. "I don't know..."

"There's a lot you could talk about, you know. For example: You. Or a little about her..." Ron took a hint from the look on Harry's face and quickly thought about something else. "I know! How about Quidditch?!"

"That's the best answer I've heard all day, but when will I talk to her?" Harry shook his head. He remembered the time he had asked Cho to the Yule Ball. "There's no way I'll do it Ron. I might do something stupid or embarrassing." He and Ron got up from the table. "Well, tell me when you change you mind, ok? And it better be soon, I don't want to hex you, Harry." He grinned.

Dear Diary,

I think Harry really likes Cho...a lot. Today at breakfast I saw Harry drooling (and I mean literally) over her. He even spilled orange juice all over the table! I mean what's so great about her anyways? Do you think if I dyed my hair black he'd notice too? Hmm...I should try it... Well, it would catch his attention. But then he would think that I was trying to impress him, and Fred and George will tease me so much! At least they only have one year at Hogwarts left. What if Harry laughs? I'll have to get back to you on that decision.

Ginny

Ginny sighed to herself. What should I do? She threw the Tom Riddle-proof diary into her trunk. She got up and walked over to the window. It was a brilliantly bright day. The sun was out and there wasn't a cloud in sight. She sighed. If only Harry would notice me, she thought. Just then Hermione had burst through the dormitory.

"What are you doing inside on a wonderful day like this?" Hermione smiled.

"Oh nothing..."

"I bet I know. Hmm...maybe daydreaming of Harry?"

Ginny looked at her. She looked flushed and turned red. "Yes."

"I thought so. What are you doing up here? You should go and hang around with him. But when you do make sure Ron's not there..."

Ginny looked at Hermione. "What should I do? If I don't have anything to talk about I'll feel pretty stupid and embarrassed."

"Then talk about him. Get to know him-"

"I already do."

"Oh yeah, I forgot this is Harry Potter..." Hermione sat down on Ginny's bed and started to think. "Well you could ask him for help in one of your classes. That should get talking to him. Or maybe you could 'accidentally' drop your books when passes by you. You know he would offer some help." Hermione winked.

"Hermione...do I have to?" Ginny whined.

"Well, put it this way: do want to see a picture of Harry and you together or a picture of Harry and Cho together?" Ginny raised her eyebrows. "I didn't think so...Well I better get going. Do want to come with me to the library?" Ginny wrinkled her nose.

"It's Saturday!"

"Why am I the only one who likes to go to the library?" Hermione mumbled to herself as she headed out the dormitory.

She had a pretty good idea...Ginny thought about it. I'll do that on Monday.

~Somewhere outside by the lake~

"Ron, why don't you ever hook up with Hermione?" Harry asked as he took a bit of his pumpkin pasty. He was getting pretty tired of hearing about how he should talk with Cho.

"Um...er...I don't see Hermione in that sort of way. She's just a friend, you know." His ears were turning a bit pink at the tip. He laughed nervously. "I mean what gave that idea anyway?"

"Last year at the Yule Ball."

Ron choked on his cauldron cake. "Whatever gave you that idea? DON'T ANSWER THAT!" He cut off Harry just in time.

Ron remembered perfectly the Yule Ball that took place the year before. Hermione's partner was Viktor Krum, who happened to be very famous Quidditch player. His date was Patil, Parvati's twin sister, and he didn't enjoy seeing Hermione dancing with Viktor.

"Why don't you just admit it?" Harry asked with a very curious tone. "You know I'd tell you anything, even if I don't want to admit it."

"Well Harry...Oh look! It's Hagrid!" Ron got up and ran.

~At Dinner~

"Can you pass the dinner rolls?"

"Here, Cho."

"Thanks." Cho grabbed a roll and placed it on her plate. "I had Quidditch practice today."

"Really? Did it go well?" One of the girls in her group asked.

"It was alright...Very exhausting though. I don't think we'll defeat Gryffindor in the next match. Harry's pretty good..." She took a quick glance at him. He quickly turned his head away when she looked back at him before their eyes met.

"He fancies you Cho." Her friend Gwendolyn said.

"I know..."She remembered when he had asked her to the Yule Ball. He must have been embarrassed when I told him I was going with Cedric...She thought to herself. Cedric...

"Well, I think you should play with his mind a bit, you know, ask him to carry your books for you and simple stuff like that. Then when he confesses that he likes you drop him like a de-" Verona was cut off by Cho.

"Why would I do something like that? That's cruel! He's been through enough here and at home!"

"If I didn't know any better I would say that you fancy him." Verona smirked. Cho glanced up at her and back to Harry, which, again, had turned his head away when she looked back. "Maybe I do...Maybe I'm just not cold-hearted like you, Verona." she mumbled to herself, so only Gwendolyn could hear. Gwendolyn smiled.

"He is kind of cute..." She whispered to Cho. She looked back at Harry again. He quickly turned his head away like before.
