Deepest Bonds

Sirius finds himself out of the Veil again. However, the reason for his return is quite shocking.

Sirius clears things up with Dumbledore and Snape.

After Sirius gets over his crying fit at hearing about Remus's death, he notices that Snape is deep in thought. The slave is remembering his short time of friendship and love with Remus, memories that are just as painful as Sirius's memories.

Sirius and Snape talk long past midnight, mainly about Remus. This brings sad memories to both men.

The faculty of Hogwarts gets a surprise guest to their meeting. Sirius and Snape are secretive in their very own way, and new things about Kingsley Shacklebolt are revealed.

Sirius is trying to make Snape's life a bit easier. However, like he soon discovers, there are far too many shadows in his slave's past for him to clear them all.

After a not-so-serious fight, Snape is finally moved into his new, light, spacious quarters. He and Sirius move into first-name basis -- well, as close to it as they can, anyway. And of course, Harry and Sirius meet at last.

While deep in feelings of loneliness, Sirius notices just how attractive he finds Severus nowadays. When he tries to make a subtle approach, however (thus being Sirius in question, meaning a surprise kiss) the reaction he gets upsets him. Still, he's more than ready to give Severus the time he needs.

Severus ponders the choice given him by his Master, and turns to Dumbledore for advice. Sirius receives a few stern words from the Headmaster, and in the end, he gets exactly what he wants.

A statue reminds Severus of Remus. Later, Sirius discovers yet another disadvantage placed upon Severus because of their bond.
