Every one of us does things without even thinking about it. Breathing, laughing, beating up our rivals viciously when they call our 'friend' who happens to be of the opposite gender a name. We all do it. It's natural. And that's exactly what Ron Weasley did. Quite a lot of blood and confusion later, Hermione asks Ron why he reacted like he did. What does he say? Hmm...

Ron, Harry, and Ginny take some time out to have a snow ball fight on New Year's Eve. Hermione watches from the sidelines, rolling her eyes at their immaturity. But Ron has other plans for Hermione. In the middle of the night, Hermione sneaks down into Ron's bedroom with Harry's latest letter grasped tightly in her hand. Their playful banter and discussion evolves into one more sincere and heartfelt, and Ron comes to realize how much she means to him. Sneakily, he conjures up a sly excuse to keep her near him through the night, much to Hermione's delight. Complete with R/Hr fluff, as always.

Okay, everyone has their view of what really happened between Ron and Hermione in the hospital wing. Don't get me wrong, I completely agree with them. But, I think while we were focusing so much on Ron and Hermione, that we could have missed out on what really happened between Harry and Ginny during Ron and Hermione's extended absence. That clumsy screwed-up foreign good-for-nothing hideous thief. There weren’t enough derogatory words or gestures that would ever satisfy Ron’s hatred for that…that…Viktor Krum. Ron sees Hermione walking down the aisle towards Viktor Krum. He can't take it the agony. He realizes his stupidity and stubbornness and wishes it wasn't too late. But, maybe it's never too late.

It's the first safety patrol of sixth year, and it doesn't start off too good. Hermione and Ron argue extensively, and they each accidentally reveal more than they wanted to. The much-requested sequel to A Not-So-Horrible Prefect Duty, except a little more tense and dramatic.

Ron's unbeatable at chess. Or so he thinks. Hermione becomes fed up with his over-confidence, and vows to beat him and put him in his place. Harry and Ginny observe competitively as the pair duel it out. Will Ron maintain his undefeated record?

In the midst of the chaos of fifth year, Ron and Hermione were assigned to supervise the decoration of the Great Hall. Everything goes fine until two mischievous and sly third-years play a clever prank on the unsuspecting prefects, involving a traditional Christmas adornment.
