Chapter 03
12/10/2003“That’s different, she’s with you, Severus! She’s basically an adopted Snape! As far as I’m concerned her blood’s as pure as the rest of ours but Lily’s not even the right sort of person to be a Slytherin!” Lucius spat at Severus.
Chapter 04
12/10/2003“Might be a good idea to offer a reward for finding out,” said Bellatrix sarcastically. “Put a notice up in the common room: Ten galleon reward to anyone who can find out why Dolores Umbridge is an interfering cow.”
Chapter 05
12/17/2003Severus took the parcel from his book bag and slowly began to open it, trembling. He braced himself for the coming explosion, for the snake-in-a-box to come hurtling out of the wrapping paper. He tore the last of the paper off and threw the parcel away from him like a bomb. When it didn’t explode, he walked over to examine what it was and saw...a hat.
Chapter 06
12/21/2003“And last, but not least,” Corlagon approached something which had a cloth wrapped around it, “The horrific summoner’s cap!” Corlagon pulled the cloth off to reveal a seemingly ordinary wizard’s hat. “While summoner’s caps vary greatly in their respective power, there is one defining trait. They are the earthly vessels of the malevolent spirit of a dark wizard who has died at the hands of another dark wizard and has been transmuted into the hat by the same person. If allowed to remain on the head of the unfortunate wizard owning it for long enough, the spirit of the wizard contained in the summoner’s cap will eventually possess its owner.

Chapter 08
01/08/2004“I’ll go get it,” said Severus, and a minute later he had returned with the hat. “Well, here goes nothing,” he said softly, and placed the hat on his head.
Chapter 09
01/19/2004“EXPECTO PATRONUM!” shouted McGonagall’s voice and Severus turned around to see McGonagall running toward him with her wand out and a small white cat following behind. Severus didn’t know what was going on.
Chapter 10
04/09/2004But the fouling was getting worse. Amos Diggory, one of the Hufflepuff chasers, tried to poke Travers in the eye which resulted in another penalty for Slytherin. Mulciber hit Diggory in the head with his club in retaliation and gave Hufflepuff a penalty. It was turning into a rapidly dangerous game and the Slytherins were starting to get hard-pressed to get anything past the Hufflepuffs.
“Yes, defy me all you like, boy! You had such potential, Severus, and you had to throw it away for nothing,” hissed Voldemort, who Severus suddenly realized was holding his wand. “Well, Severus, we’ll see if your refusal was worth the loss. Right here and now you’re going to be fed to my pet...”
Severus looked up into the face of Dolores Umbridge and felt rage well up in him. There was only one thing to be done with a person like this. “Petrificus totalus!” he growled, and Umbridge froze up. He then pointed his wand at her and did a silencing charm. What he was about to do required absolute caution. He felt all the rage, anger and hatred at his father well up inside him. “Crucio.”
He felt everything the evil professor had taught them of the dark arts fill his head...
