The Story of Blaise Zabini

(Pre-HBP, and written before Blaise Zabini was confirmed as male). Blaise lived an unfortunate life, with her alcoholic mother and no father. That is, until her mother dies, her grandmother takes her in, and Hogwarts sends her an acceptance letter. Then she's off, learning magic and living the life she's always wanted. What with pranking, Yule Balls, and the most annoying little crush on one Draco Malfoy, Blaise's life is definitely a lot more interesting.

Blaise is on her way to England, staying with the Kensingtons - the couple she'll be living with while on school holidays. She dreads leaving her grandmother behind, but the thought of Hogwarts begins to compensate for it.

It's time for Blaise to board the Hogwarts Express, and eventually to be Sorted. She gains an enemy almost as soon as she steps on the train, and gets Sorted into Slytherin - learning a few things about herself.

Pansy Parkinson is a stupid, clingy bitch, Blaise decides, at breakfast on their very first day of school. And Draco Malfoy is nothing but a spoilt brat. But she makes a new friend, despite wishing she was in a different house.

We skip to Blaise's third year - learn about her friendship with the Weasley twins, her loathing for Malfoy, and her love for pranking.

An amusing prank goes unfortunately pear-shaped, and Professor McGonagall gets an unexpected shock.

Blaise's third year Christmas turns out to be more exciting that she bargained for. What with an unexpected present, from an even more unexpected person, and a cute little black kitten, it looks like Christmas is just the beginning of a new chapter in Blaise's life.

After the surprises of Christmas, the remaining part of her third year looks set to be as boring as Millicent Bulstrode's hairdo. But can it be - is Malfoy an actual person, underneath all the layers of arrogance? Blaise is about to find out.

Blaise is back at school for her fourth year, and things are really starting to hot up. The famous Triwizard Tournament has come to Hogwarts, the school is buzzing with rumours, and Harry Potter gets selected as a fourth champion? Looks like this is going to be a memorable year.

Blaise gets a date with a very cute sixth year, but he turns out to be a total sleaze, and guess who turns up to save the day? Why, Draco Malfoy, of course!

After the whole Yule Ball debacle, Blaise's less-than-pleasant feelings towards Dra - Malfoy, dammit! - only get worse, especially when he tries to explain it all away. Unfortunately for Blaise, she likes Malfoy far more than she'll ever admit.

Fifth year begins, there's yet another new DADA professor who clearly doesn't know the ropes at Hogwarts, and still Blaise is avoiding Malfoy.

Interestingly enough, Blaise comes across a half-naked Draco in the middle of the night. Explanations and a furious Pansy make an appearance.

Blaise thought she'd been keeping her crush on Draco a secret, and along comes Lydia telling her she knew it all along. What Blaise doesn't know, however, is that her best friend kind of has a thing for one of the Weasley twins, and semi-chaos ensues after a day in Hogsmeade.

There's a surprise in store for Blaise, and Pansy is, once again, in the thick of things. Blaise always knew Pansy was a whore, but she never knew she was a backstabbing bitch ... or did she?

Well, Pansy does it again, and right in front of Blaise this time! Blaise is definitely not happy, and decides to show Pansy just how annoyed she is.

Draco isn't speaking to her, Lydia still doesn't know about Pansy and Jeff, and she's been banned from Hogsmeade next year. So, when someone completely unexpected - and a tad unwelcome, too - arrives at the Kensingtons', Blaise is in no mood to play nice.

So now that Blaise has finally come face-to-face with her father, she still despises the man. Nelson Zabini is a liar and cheat, in her opinion. But is there more to daddy dearest than Blaise initially thinks?

Draco and Pansy are apparently back together, Lydia is still infatuated with Jeff, and Blaise still isn't sure about her father - and all of this is before she even steps onto the Hogwarts Express. But something happens later, which makes all of that seem trivial.

Weird things are happening at Hogwarts. Two students are attacked; one cursed, another poisoned. Draco is acting extremely strange, Pansy gives Blaise a dire warning, and Lydia finally finds out about Jeff's bad habits.

In the aftermath of Dumbledore's death, Blaise wonders where Draco is, and whether Lydia is ever going to forgive her.
