Today is Ginny's nineteenth birthday, August 11, 2000. Later, there is going to be a party at the Burrow. But for now, Ginny is alone, sitting outside Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor, eating a blueberry ice cream cone under the shade of a pink umbrella. A chance encounter with an old friend makes Ginny feel for the first time since the war.
