Lily Evans has now survived living in Gryffindor Tower alongside her best friend, Cassie Burbank, and the Marauders for four years now, certainly no mean feat. Considering that not only has Lily been made Prefect, but it's their OWL year, it looks as though this could be the most difficult yet. However, not even Lord Voldemort gathering followers in the background and the impending attempt to seize a powerful birthright could stop the usual chaos, family feuding, vindictive Slytherins to deal with, Quidditch, and of course, pranks... Slightly AU, as the general situation and relationships are pre-OotP, although it has been edited to take the fifth book into account.

The Sorting Hat officially declares the beginning of Lily and the Marauders' fifth year at Hogwarts. Dire warnings for what comes with OWL year are dolled out by the handful, a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher steps forward to fill the place of the last one (Who was attacked by a rabid hippo), venemous tenticula attack, and mysterious notes are passed (as usual) in the back of History of Magic class. Clearly, this year won't be all that different...

Unsurprisingly, the Marauders manage to get off on a frighteningly bad foot with their new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. Prefect duties also begin for Remus and Lily, and with OWL's approaching, it's clear that this year will be the most hectic yet.

The Marauders finally managed to excecute their first large scale prank in order to, "Start the year off on the right foot." Lily manages to be utterly traumatised by flying lessons. The girls finally pick up on a pattern to Remus' illness that had been staring them in the face for quite some time now... Laughter, arguing, and revelations.
