Harry and his allies have won the war against Voldemort (read HP and the Goblin Rebellion and The War of Shades). Now it is time to get on with living, but Harry finds it more murky and conflicted than he is prepared for. In his search for a solution he encounters a greater danger than he had ever met before.
Harry and friends go their respective way. Harry gets moved into his flat in Hogwarts, with the help of his friends and a magical object he had never seen before. Then they cooperate to help Ginny and Ron get to Grimmauld Place with their things. Finally Harry helps Hermione get to her parents' home. Hermione's mother has a number of questions about the magical world.
Harry returns to start his life as a Hogwarts instructor. He offers to help the replanting of the damaged portions of the Forest but others have the process well-organized. He has a long visit with Hagrid and then returns to his quarters and talks with the portrait of Sirius.
Harry is invited to dinner with Professor McGonagall in her office, but it turns out to be a set-up to get Snape and Harry to talk to each other and overcome some of their animosity.
Snape completes explaining how he came to be turned against Voldemort. Harry and McGonagall have a few laughes at Snape's expense. The next morning, Dumbledore presents Harry with a lengthy, but not onerous, to-do list for the summer.
Harry's summer is planned for him, with training , pro quidditch tryouts, and a world tour to promote his Famous Wizard cards.
Harry sets up dinner out with his friends to figure out the best way to get Arthur an Molly Weasley to agree to Ginny going on the Famous Wizard card promotional tour. On his way, he has startling conversations with his portrait of Sirius and Tom, the barman at The Leaky Cauldron. At Grimmauld Place, he is warmly welcomed.
Harry arrives at 12 Grimmauld Place, where the Weasleys are staying and gets a further taste of what being in a large, close family is like. He asks Ginny to go on the propmotional tour, and then the two of them, plus Ron and Hermione, go to Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes to go to dinner and plot with Fred and George.
Harry and friends make elaborate schemes as to how to get Arthur and Molly Weasley to agree to Ginny going on the world tour. Will Harry be able to carry it off? Later Bill and Fleur have a special announcement.
Harry takes his test to be a licensed Instructor and returns to Hogwarts. He learns in his meeting with Professor Dumbledore that Dumpledore wants to duplicate Harry's important memories at Hogwarts for an archive of important events. They begin to explore the castle, duplicating memories as they go. They reach the second-floor girls' bathroom to discuss Harry's access to t in the coming year with Moaning Myrtle.
Harry and Dumbledore continue their survey of Hogwarts, proceeding into the Chamber of Secrets. They discuss various issues as they go.
Chapter 12 - The Curse of Ages12/03/2005
Harry, Dumbledore and Dobby continue their inspection of the Chamber of Secrets. They examine the many enchantments and charms of the place and Harry tells more about the first time he entered. Dumbledore explains about the lore of the Chamber, including the Curse of Ages.
Chapter 13 - 1301/06/2006
Harry completes his initial explorations of Hogwarts and Voldemort's island headquarters. Then he is able to return to be with the Weasleys before he and Ron go to quidditch league tryouts. Things seem to go well there. Afterward they return to Grimmauld Place to tell the rest of the Weasleys all about the tryout camp.
Chapter 14 - 14 - Making the Team10/20/2006
Harry and Ron, with Fred and George, meet Oliver Wood to negotiate constract to play quidditch. Harry learns more about the pro game than he had suspected, and he's not happy with it, but tries to make do.
