Longing for Lethe

After a terrible accident leaves Hermione first in a coma, and then struggling to regin her use of her legs, one person has been by her side. But will he realise in time that theirs is a love destined for by Fate, and will he be able to accept it?

In which Hermione awakens, and finds that very strange things are occuring all around her, Dumbledore teaches Potions, and a silent vigil occurs.

Harry and Ron come to visit, and Severus almost gets caught with Hermione. Oh, yes, the first mention of Sybil comes too! Nightmares and other things abound in this very short chapter.

Severus gets his orders; Minerva finds out about Severus; Neville and Ginny visit; Sybill Knows, you know; the teachers conspire; and Ron and Harry get suspicious.

So, here is Chapter 5, in which Severus read Shakespeare to Hermione (for those of you with the "When Love Speaks" cd, it's track #9, the one where Rufus Wainwright sings.), Ginny gets suspicious, Hermione finds out what game the teachers have been playing, Sibyll and Hermione grow closer, and Hermione ends up in a lot of pain

The chapter that might have you all hating me! But don't worry, I'm resolving it as you read this. In this chapter, Hermione grows closer to Sibyll, and you find out why Poppy and Sibyll don't like Lily at all. Assume nothing, and expect the unexpected!

As Hermione continues her progress at getting better, Ron and Harry become a slight problem, and they must realise a fundamental truth about themselves, though each truth is quite different.

Harry learns some shocking truths about his parents, and Ron is not really that big a prat, after all.

It's all about love, in this chapter. But what is love? Is love better from afar, or from near? Is love blind, or can it see farther than the here and now? And just how much can one love while one is letting go?

In which some shocking news is relayed, and Harry asks for forgiveness for his rash actions. But will this new turn of events draw Severus and Hermione closer together, or will it drive them further apart?

The long day winds down as Severus, Poppy and Ron get some very interesting news. How will Sybil take it when she finds out? And has Hermione met her match in understanding Shakespeare?
