Sweet Resolve

Summer after 5th year. Harry and Draco have plunged themselves into deep thought over their lives- and both have emerged with new insight. But do their choices coincide with each other, or will they fall prey to the other's chosen future? Fear and hatred can rarely stand up against courage, love, and resolve. (eventual H/D)

Draco goes through the trials and tribulations of being a Death Eater's son. After much contemplation, both willing and unwilling, he must decide how to live his life.

During which Harry muses over the past day and wonders how in the hell is he ever going to get through an entire year, if not more. Frustrations are building, and a mystery is evolving around Harry's very own mind.

Draco's musings and the first day of classes. A frightful scene will change the course of the new year in an extremely drastic way for all the students of Hogwarts, but Harry is not so much worried as he is anxious in anticipation.

Harry and Draco are about to see a whole lot more of each other, while Harry begins to see less and less of his fellow gryffindors.

It's a path laden with discoveries for Harry: strength in occlumency, thoughts of Draco, and a nightmare which could voice too many truths for one young man to handle.

In which Draco reflects on the events of a day which were both enlightening, and destructive. As truths unravel, more mysteries fall in his hands, and he has a lot of thinking to do.

Relationships are forming that could divide a house irrevocably. During all of it, Harry continues on his quest for more knowledge, while Draco has his own demons to face, and truths to admit.

It's the day after the former enemies find common ground again - and the world has taken one more step towards chaos. Harry has decided to embark on a mission more dangerous than he may realize, but needs to find someone to help him along the way.

Harry and Draco cross a boundary between strictly partners to something decidedly more meaningful as the Slytherin willingly offers his services. Now- as Harry discovers more and more about himself, he also finds there is more and more he doesnt know about his fellow peers. And it's starting to break through...

When Harry had left his last session to battle inner conflicts, Draco was left to battle his own as well. Will Draco's intentions be revealed this time, or will he remain an enigma in everyone's eyes, specifically Snape's? In this chapter Draco will begin playing a new game with his father, his loyalties, and his goals.

Harry and Draco haven't been seeing much of each other, but Draco is seeing far too much of Blaise and Ron. Draco has a surprising discussion with someone, and Harry receives a letter he never realized he wanted. This chapter marks the beginning of future intensity, where the character and determination of many will soon be challenged in the upcoming chapters....

Things are getting heavier. Harry's dream takes a new turn, but is it for better or for worse? And the next day Draco ponders over the previous night's events, and what could it possibly all mean. The two spend some quality time together in the library, which leads to some form of enlightenment on one of the boy's parts, but the culmination of this chapter leaves him with dreading confusion.

Harry didn't have to wait very long for an explanation of his dream, after all.... and Draco dreams?

Harry's reaction to the message he has received is not what anyone would expect... except for Draco. Harry reaches a turning point in his life... or at least a new found resolution.

Finally! Winter break. Harry finds comfort outside. Draco finds it in the library. And both encounter meaningful conversations, ones that will affect them greatly.
