Chapter 6 - Snaky talk hour.

 

Next morning, when Harry was in the great hall to have breakfast, the owls came.

Harry got 3 owls.

He opened his first letter, It was from Hagrid.

 

Dear Harry.

 

Will you come to visit me with Ron and Hermione after school?

 

Hagrid.

 

"Hagrid? Is that the big guy?" Karlien asked.

"Yes, that’s him, do you come with us or not?" Harry said.

"Of course, I’d love to meet him!" She said.

 

His second letter was from Sirius.

 

Dear Harry,

 

First of all I would to thank you for clearing my name. Fudge told the Dementors yesterday to stop looking for me. Wormtail is buried in Azkaban, just as all the other dead death-eaters.

I think you should read the Daily Prophet today. After the world read this day’s paper, it will be an other world. I will see you sooner than you might have thought.

Sirius.

 

Curious about the paper Sirius told him about, Harry took the paper from the third owl.

Suddenly someone from the Ravenclaw table yelled.

"Harry Potter does have the paper!!!" Harry looked astonished, "what did he mean with ‘Harry Potter does have the paper’?" Harry asked.

"Well, I think you are the only one who got it today, I also don’t have it yet." Hermione said.

"Weird..." Harry said.

"I don’t think it’s weird that Harry Potter got it before anybody else, look at the frond page!" Hermione said.

Harry looked at it and was shocked.

 

YOU-KNOW-WHO BACK!

There were rumour from the return before, but today it’s official.

"First I would believe it, when Harry Potter told last year. But a few weeks ago, Harry told me something which made me think about it. Now I’m sure he’s back." Said Cornelius Fudge, minister of magic.

Harry Potter, who escaped from You-Know-Who again last year, when he was re-born, told Mr. Fudge last year, when he was in the hospital wing of Hogwarts.

Dumbledore believed him however, and he has been taking actions to prevent terror ever since.

His come back is proved, the attacks on the USA are done by him, he controlled the pilots.

 

This not everything that we will report today, there’s more world shocking news. See page two for that.

But first, more details about the come back of the Dark Lord.

 

Harry turned to page two.

 

SIRIUS BLACK INNOCENT.

The minister of magic has now officially announced that Sirius Black is proven innocent.

He was thought to be the betrayer of James and Lily Potter, and the murderer of Peter Pettigrew.

To make a long story short:

Pettigrew betrayed the Potter, and Black tracked down Pettigrew.

Pettigrew killed all the people in the street, cut of his own finger, and disappeared.

 

Black got 1000 galleons for each year he spent in Azkaban, that makes 13000 galleons.

 

Black will be starting his new job today.

 

"Why would he have a job, when he got all that money" Ron asked.

"I dunno," Harry mumbled when the other people got their paper.

 

Dumbledore stood up.

"Good morning everyone," he said, "For those who haven’t meet professor Lupin yet, this is him." Lupin stood up. And sat down again.

"I also have the pleasure to tell you that we have a second Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Black.

Professor Black will help professor Lupin in class, and will be doing the lessons, when professor Lupin can’t."

Sirius entered the great hall, and took a seat next to Lupin. He waved at Harry, Harry waved back.

 

"Sirius, a teacher?!?" Ron asked.

"Must be," Hermione said, "I don’t think Dumbledore will joke about that."

 

McGonagall came by and gave them their schedules.

"Double Potions with the Slytherins Monday morning!" Harry yelled furiously.

"Yeah, and Domestic science in the afternoon, four hours! Double double Domestic science," Harry said, "I wonder who teaches it."

"We’ll find out today." Karlien said.

 

After breakfast, they ran to Sirius and Lupin.

"Hi Remus, hi Sirius!" Harry said.

"Hi Harry, hi Ron and Hermione, and you are?" Lupin asked

"I’m Karlien, Harry’s girlfriend." Karlien said.

"Congratulations Harry, you got yourself a girl, we never had one, did we, Padfoot?" Lupin said.

"You’ll never know me as Prongs knew me, Moony. I might as well tell you, I do had a girlfriend." Sirius said.

"Who?!? Why didn’t you ever tell me?" Lupin asked.

"Because I didn’t want anybody to know. Only Prongs knew. He too didn’t tell. He told us about Lily in our sixth year, it was going on for 4 years then, we never knew, did we?" Sirius said, "I will tell you later who it was. Let’s talk to Harry and co. now, shall we?"

"You’re right. How was Peter caught, Harry?" Lupin asked.

Harry told him the story about Wormtail at the house-warming party.

 

They went to get their potion stuff and went down to the dungeons, where potions was taught.

 

They went to sit in back of the classroom, they always sat there with potions.

"The teacher is late." Karlien said.

"Be happy about it." Ron said

"I heard that Weasley, 5 point will be taken from Gryffindor." Snape was standing in the door opening.

"We will be making a Animagus Potion. It will change a human into an animal for an hour…," Suddenly Snape noticed Karlien, "Well well well, who do we have here?"

"Karlien van Voorthuizen, sir." Karlien said.

"I see you’re a friend of Potter, I will be watching you, don’t you dare do something that I don’t like, because you’ll regret it. Have I made myself clear?" Snape snapped.

"As clear as glass, sir." Karlien said.

Snape mumbled something that sounded like "Fine than".

"Page 311, quick. We’ll be testing it the last hour, if everything goes right, the persons will change back into a human just before the end of the lesson. When it says you have to add a piece of an animal, you will add a piece of a snake, I’ll give it to you."

 

It was almost the same as the Polyjuice Potion, only a few ingredients were different, and it was ready sooner.

When everybody was ready, Snape handed everyone a piece of snake hair.

They added it, and the potions changed colour, it became very dark green.

 

"Weasley, Granger, van Voorthuizen, drink your potion. No, not you Potter." Snape said.

Ron, Hermione and Karlien drank their potions.

They became very thin, and very long. Their arms and legs left, and they got a tail. Within ten seconds they all three were snakes.

Harry looked at the snake, who once was Karlien. It still had Karlien’s beautiful eyes.

"This is weird!" The snake said to Ron or Hermione, Harry didn’t know which was Ron and which was Hermione.

"Harry, can you hear us?" said Hermione’s voice, coming from a snake.

"Of course he can’t," Karlien-snake said.

"Yes, I can talk to you, I’m a Parselmouth," Harry hissed.

"What? I didn’t know you were a Parselmouth." Karlien-snake said.

 

"Potter, what are you telling your friends?"

"I was telling Karlien I’m a Parselmouth, she didn’t know that." Harry said.

 

"I hate Snape," said Ron-snake, who was glad he could talk about Snape that way, while he was almost next to him, "Look how he’s looking at us. I think he’s jealous of Harry, because he’s able to hear us. I think he’s wondering what we’re saying right now."

Harry looked, Ron was right.

Not only Snape was looking, everybody was looking to them like that."

 

They spend the whole hour talking about people they hate.

They talked about how glad they were about Malfoy, who preferred Azkaban, over Hogwarts.

About Snape, who was punishing Neville, because he looked at Harry.

"How much time do we have left?" Karlien-snake asked.

Harry looked at his watch, "It should be over any moment now." Harry said.

 

They started to shrink in height and grow in width.

"Good work, Three point to Gryffindor, one for Weasley, one for Granger and one for van Voorthuizen. Three point will be taken from Gryffindor, because Potter talked a way I couldn’t understand him. Homework for next week. Essay about Animagus Potions, 4 rolls of parchment.

"No less," he looked at Harry and Ron, "And no more," he looked at Hermione.

 

They left the dungeons and headed to the great hall, for lunch.

There was an exited mood in the great hall, everybody had their first lesson, and all of them were great. Except for the Gryffindor fifth years.

 

Harry sat down and looked up to the head table.

To his surprise he saw Dobby the house-elf talking to professor Dumbledore. Dobby was sitting in the teachers chair that was unoccupied last evening.

"Look, Dobby is sitting on that free teachers chair," Harry said to Ron, Hermione and Karlien, "Dumbledore said that the teacher Domestic Science was helping the house-elves in the kitchen. Do you think Dobby is the teacher Domestic Science?"

"Could be, it would be fun. Harry will be allowed to do anything he wants, just as Malfoy could with Snape. Harry could even do more then Malfoy, if Harry asks Dobby a pair of trousers from a specific shop in Bora-Bora, Dobby will get it for him. I swear." Said Ron.

"Well see after lunch, don’t we?" Hermione said.

"Were do we have Domestic science, there’s no classroom for it, isn’t it?"

 

Right when Hermione said that last thing, McGonagall stood up to make an announcement.

"Domestic science will be taught by Dobby the house-elf, if the fifth year students from Gryffindor will follow him now. He will bring you to the kitchen, that’s were it is held."

 

All the Gryffindor fifth years stood up and followed Dobby

Harry, Ron, Hermione and Karlien hurried to the front to talk with Dobby.

"Hi Dobby!" Harry said.

"Hello Harry Potter." Said Dobby, who was very pleased to see Harry.

"How come you are teaching now, Dobby? Are you getting more paid for it?" Hermione asked.

"I suggested Dumbledore last Christmas, he said it was a great idea to teach Domestic Science. He asked me if I would teach it, and I said yes.

He asked Wheezy’s moms to write a book about it."

"He means Weasley." Harry said, when he saw their astonished faces.

 

They entered the kitchen, and all the students had a shortage of 6 pairs of eyes, just like Harry had, when he first saw Diagon Alley.
