Chapter 5 - Back to Hogwarts.

 

Three fantastic weeks later, on the early morning of 1 September. Everybody packed their stuff.

It was the third time Harry had to pack all his stuff this holiday. But he used magic this time, Karlien did the same, and they also helped Ron and Hermione pack with magic. They were thankful.

Mr. Weasley had borrowed three cars from the ministry, because everybody was coming. To say goodbye.

 

Harry, Karlien, Hermione, Ron and Ginny entered the first car.

The second, Percy, Penelope, Molly, Arthur and Bill.

And in the last car, Fred, George, Angelina and Charlie.

Within half an hour they were at King’s Cross Station.

When they all were on platform nine and three-quarters, Harry, Ron, Karlien and Hermione searched an empty compartment, they found one, it was the last one from the whole train.

They dropped their stuff, and went outside again to say goodbye to the Weasleys.

Bill and Charlie shacked Harry’s hand, Mrs Weasley kissed and hugged him, and Mr Weasley said "Good luck boy".

Percy and Penelope said "We will sent you an owl when the baby is born." Penelope kissed him on the cheek, and Percy shacked his hand, "Behave yourself, will you?" Percy always loved rules, and hated people who didn’t keep the rules.

 

The train started to move, and they went inside quick. Found back their compartment and began to talk.

At one o’clock, the witch came and they bought a lot of sweets. Karlien, who had never seen a Chocolate Frog, opened one.

"Hey, there is a picture of you in it Harry!" she said excited.

"Yes, there are pictures in it from famous peo… PICTURE FROM ME?!?" Harry yelled.

"Wow, Harry, you got your face on a trading card from the Chocolate Frogs, what do they say about you?" Ron said.

Karlien read:

 

Harry Potter, alias The-Boy-Who-Lived.

 

Harry defeated the Dark Lord when he was only a baby, The Dark Lord killed his parents, but when he tried to kill Harry, he failed. Harry survived, and the Dark Lord disappeared.

Nobody knows how this happened. It’s the biggest mystery since the foundation of Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Harry is in Hogwarts now.

Together with his two best friend, he solved many other mysteries, and Harry was the one who brought up the truth about Sirius Black.

He was the one who was thought to be the betrayer of his parents, but that was not true. The real betrayer killed himself accidentally in an fight with Harry this summer, at a party.

 

Harry Potter won the Triwizard tournament in his fourth year at Hogwarts.

Harry plays Seeker in the Quidditch team of Gryffindor, he is also the team captain.

 

Harry’s hobbies are Quidditch, being with his friends, and his girlfriend is the person he loves the most.

 

"Am I team captain?" he asked.

"Yes you are, I thought Angelina told you, she said that Katie and Alicia agreed with it." Ron told him.

 

"A shame Wormtail didn’t kill you, but himself."

Draco Malfoy was standing in the door opening.

"I have something to do," Malfoy said, "do you remember last year’s trip with the train back home? Well, I do, and I didn’t like what you all did to me, I spend two weeks in the hospital."

 

"A shame your not still in it, or that you got no permanent damage." Ron said.

 

"I would watch your mouth, Weasel." Malfoy snapped.

Grabbe and Goyle looked at Ron furious.

"I saw all your father’s last year. Yes, yours too Crabbe and Goyle!" Harry said.

"They were all watching Voldemort’s re-birth. They all wore ugly masks, and he wasn’t very pleased with them."

"My father learned me a little trick this summer." Malfoy said.

"What? Did he finally told you how to brush your teeth?" Harry said.

"No, he taught me a very interesting bit of Dark Magic, but who do we have here?" He looked at Karlien.

"That’s none of your business." She snapped at him.

"Is this your new girlfriend, Potter?" Malfoy said.

"For your information. Yes, she is." Harry said.

"She is not that bad, a shame she got stuck with you. What’s your name girl?"

"Call me ‘I Hate Malfoy’." She said.

"Okay, I Hate Malfoy, I would break up with him if I were you," She stood up, Harry did the same, "If you want real friends, you can come with me."

She kicked him in his balls.

"I think that’s a no," he said with a very high voice, "But Potter, Weasel and Granger, I’m not finished with you yet. Tseeggiteinrev." He yelled.

A black light shoot from his wand and hit the four of them. They lay unconscious.

Malfoy and his bodyguards left.

 

15 minutes later, Fred and George came to visit them. They found them unconscious.

Fred jumped over them, and pulled the emergency brake. Within 15 seconds the train didn’t moved anymore. People curious put their heads out the windows to see what happened.

The headboys and girls, the conductors, the driver and the candy witch came running through the train.

When they arrived, they were shocked to see Harry, Ron, Karlien and Hermione unconscious. The driver sent away Fred, George and the headboys and girls. Then he said to a conductor "Go warn the ministry, quick!"

There was a ‘plop’ and the conductor disappeared.

A minute later, when the candy witch had just sent all the students from the nearest ten compartments away, a few Aurors arrived, Mad-eye Moody was one of them.

"What happened?" He said

"I don’t know, Fred and George Weasley pulled the emergency brake, because they found them here, unconscious."

"Fred and George Weasley? Arthur Weasley’s sons?" Moody asked.

"Yes, there’s another son of him, he one of the unconscious people." Said the driver.

Moody entered the compartment and looked shocked.

"O my God, the Tseeggiteinrev curse, I hope it failed." Moody whispered.

"Which curse? What does it do?" Asked the driver.

"The Tseeggiteinrev curse. It has the same effect as the Kiss of a Dementor." Moody said, "It’s dark magic, the ministry is going to make it one of the Unforgivable Curses, life sentence in Azkaban. But I don’t think any student will be able to cast it. Even I have trouble with it."

The driver fainted.

 

"Enervate" Moody said. And to his surprise, they all woke up.

"Harry, will you please tell me what happened?" Moody asked.

Harry told him the story, about how Malfoy was flirting with his girlfriend. About how Malfoy and he hated each other, and finally, how Malfoy cursed them.

"Why didn’t he just used the Stupefy curse to make us unconscious?" Harry asked.

"Well, he didn’t try to make you unconscious, he tried the Tseeggiteinrev curse on you, but it failed. It is one of the most complex dark magic curses. The ministry is about to make it the fourth Unforgivable curse." Moody said.

"What would it have done to us when it wouldn’t have failed?" Harry asked.

"Harry, do you know the Kiss of a Dementor?"

"Yes, I do. I almost got one in my third year, when the Dementors were at Hogwarts for Sirius Black."

"Well, you almost got two in your live now. The Tseeggiteinrev curse is the wizard version of the Kiss. It destroys your soul." Moody said a little bit shacking.

"I hate that Malfoy kid." Karlien said angrily.

"Well, I guess he will hate himself too. I’m sure he will go to Azkaban for it. So does his father. Who must have tried to learn him the curse."

"His father is a Deatheater, I saw him at Voldemort’s re-birth. I saw a lot of Deatheaters, I told their names to Fudge, but he wouldn’t believe me."

"Yes I know, Dumbledore told me everything when I came out of the hospital wing."

 

The other Aurors went after Malfoy. They soon found him, trying to escape from the train. Which was impossible because of the magical safety precautions.

 

They took him to Harry’s compartment. Malfoy yelled furious at Harry.

"I guess this will be the last time I see you," Harry said happily, "Goodbye my friend, good luck in Azkaban. Can I have one half of your wand? As a souvenir!" They all laughed very loud even Moody and the other Aurors.

"Say goodbye to your father, will you, Tell him I enjoyed watching him end of the last term."

"You know The Dark Lord will hunt you down for this, I don’t think that’s something to laugh about! I hope he catches you." Malfoy yelled.

"He’s already hunting me down, remember? I defeated him four times, I guess I’m getting used to him. But I think I will never be able to get used to you not being around at school, becoming a fully qualified wizard. No, I think you won’t get the pleasure to do magic ever again. Goodbye again."

And they took him away.

 

"So, that was the Draco Malfoy chapter." Ron laughed when everybody had left, and the train moved again.

"You know I still can’t believe he tried to do that. I know he was evil, but this? No, I would never have thought that." Hermione said.

"Come on Herm," Ron said, "I’m sure you won’t miss him, and after what he tried to do to you, I also don’t think you will ever feel sorry for him."

"Your right, he deserved it. The Tseeggiteinrev curse, it’s worse then Avada Kedavra. I wonder why it wasn’t an Unforgivable curse already." Hermione said.

Like Ron had said, she didn’t feel sorry at all.

 

A few hours later, they finally arrived at Hogwarts.

McGonagall was waiting for them.

"Potter, Weasley, Granger and van Voorthuizen, will you please follow me? Professor Dumbledore is waiting for us, and the sorting ceremony will wait for us too."

They all followed her to Dumbledore’s office.

 

They entered his office, Dumbledore and Sirius were waiting in it.

McGonagall was shocked to see Sirius, she didn’t know he was innocent, not yet.

"Read the Daily Prophet tomorrow morning," Dumbledore said to McGonagall, "Then you will know why he’s here."

Harry introduced Karlien to Sirius.

"Sirius, this is Karlien van Voorthuizen, my girlfriend. Karlien, this is Sirius Black, my godfather."

"Godfather?!?" McGonagall asked.

"Like I said, read the paper tomorrow," Dumbledore said, "But now, back to business."

 

"Moody sent me an owl about what Mr. Malfoy tried to do to you, I must say I was shocked to hear such a thing. But I think you will be glad to hear that Malfoy was suspended from school, forever. So are Grabbe and Goyle, they were accessory, and helped him with this crime."

Harry thought that nothing could make him more happy, well… except getting his parents back, but that is impossible.

 

"I also have to tell you, that the four of you will get your own privet room. You will get a hidden room in the Gryffindor common room, you can just walk in. Nobody else can. Everybody who sees you entering, will not remember it after half a minute.

This is for your own safety, because we suspect a student to work for Voldemort, and he doesn’t have to be in Slytherin, he could just as well be in Gryffindor, Hufflepuf or a Ravenclaw. We only know that there is a betrayer in our school."

 

When Dumbledore was finished, Harry said.

"Don’t you think we caught that student today, in the train? Draco Malfoy."

"We thought of him before, because of his father, and his hate against you. But we proved him innocent, well, he wasn’t innocent, but he wasn’t the one we were looking for. The one we are looking for, is somebody you don’t hate. I don’t say it’s one of your friends, but I think you think he/she can’t be evil."

 

"If you will follow me to the Gryffindor common room, I will show you your room."

They walked to the portrait of the Fat Lady, Dumbledore gave the password. The password was ‘holidays’.

 

They entered the common room, and saw a lot of house-elves carrying heavy trunks. Hermione looked displeased.

"She likes house-elves to much." Harry whispered in Karlien’s ear.

But when he looked around the room, he noticed something new. There was a door, next to the picture of Gryffindor, the picture Sirius told him about.

"I guess you will see a new door, I can’t, Minerva can’t, Sirius can’t, the ghosts can’t see or enter it, even the house-elves can’t. Only you four can. You therefore will have to carry your trunks in yourself. I ordered the house-elves to put them in the common room. There they are, you see? I suggest you put them in now, it will look strange if they are still here, when everybody arrives here."

Harry carried his, and the other trunks into the room by magic. He got very good in carrying things by magic. Because he did it a lot in the vacation.

 

"Go ahead, have a look at it, but go to the great hall in five minutes. We will go now, to start the ceremony." Said professor McGonagall.

 

They entered the room.

It was a beautiful large room, with four very large beds, even bigger than Harry’s old one. Their were four desks where they could do their homework. Their was a little kitchen, four very large closets, where they could put all there stuff in, like their clothes.

There also was a door.

They went in, and saw a very large, beautiful bathroom, even bigger and more beautiful than the bathroom Harry was last year. When he solved the clue his egg.

"I’m sure I will have a great time here." He said.

The others agreed.

"Let’s go down now." Hermione said.

And they left to the great hall.

 

When they entered, they heard the last line if the Sorting Head’s song.

"And I will sort you in the right house!"

Everybody burst into applause, and nobody noticed that four people just entered the room late.

 

They went right to the Gryffindor table, and their were five free places, next to each other. Harry sat on the end of the row, next to Lavender Brown, the chair between them was empty.

"Hi Harry, did you have a nice holiday?" She asked.

"Yes, it was better then the others I’ve had." He said.

"My sister is new this year, that’s her." And she pointed at a little girl, with a pigtail in her hair. She looked just as Lavender.

"She looks nice." He said.

"She is, she can be the most loving person. But sometimes I hate her, but everybody hates their sister sometimes." Lavender said.

"O, look, she is going to be sorted!" She waved to her sister, while McGonagall read:

"Brown, Rose"

Rose waved back while she walked towards to sorting hat.

As soon as the hat touched her head, it yelled "Gryffindor!" the whole Gryffindor house burst into applause. Rose walked towards the Gryffindor table, and sat down between Harry and Lavender.

"Hi Rose, meet Harry Potter!"

"So you are the famous Harry Potter, Lavender has been telling me about. Pleasure to meet you." And they shacked hands.

Lavender, Rose and Harry talked when the other kids were sorted.

Goyle’s brother got sorted into Slytherin and there was a Seth Finch-Fletchley, Justin’s sister.

 

When the sorting ceremony was ready, they all started to eat. Dinner was delicious.

When everybody was finished, every plate was cleaned.

 

Dumbledore stood up.

"I’ve got a few things to tell you." He began.

"First: Slytherin will be missing three students, forever. Mr. Malfoy, Mr. Grabbe and Mr. Goyle. They were suspended for committing a crime, which is so cruel, you would believe it’s possible. They will have to pay a compensation to the victims, and they will have a life-sentence in Azkaban.

We all hope that nothing like this ever happens again. And if you plan on doing something evil, please think about what happened to those three servants of Lord Voldemort!

 

Second: Because of the return of Lord Voldemort, there are extra safety precautions to protect you. You will not notice them, but I swear that they are here.

 

Third: As every year, I must tell you that the Forbidden Forrest is off limits, nobody is to enter it.

 

Fourth: Arithmancy won’t be taught this year at Hogwarts. Professor Vector had privet reasons not to come this year.

I also like to inform you that our new professor is somebody we all might remember from two years ago. Unfortunately it happened to be full moon today, and therefore he can’t be with us today. Professor Lupin will do the Defence Against Dark Arts this year.

Our new subject, for the last three classes, Domestic Science will be taught by someone who’s helping in the kitchen right now.

 

Fifth and last: Everybody has to go to their bedrooms at eleven o’clock in the evening, there you can study on if you want to, but the common rooms are off limits from 11 o’clock in the evening until 6 o’clock in the morning. This does not count to the four people I talked to earlier this day, they know who I mean."

 

"That was it. Prefects, can you please guide your new students and everybody else to they common rooms now? Everybody must go to sleep, tomorrow school will start"

 

"Professor Lupin," Harry said happily, "pity it’s full moon right now."

"Why can’t he be here because it’s full moon?" Karlien asked.

"Karlien, I thought you were smarter than this. He a werewolf." Harry said.

"A werewolf?!? Aren’t those dangerous?" She asked.

"Only with full moon. Except then, It’s one of the friendliest person in the world. He, Sirius, Pettigrew and my father were best friends, you know?"

"Was Pettigrew your fathers friend?!?" Karlien asked.

"Yes, he was, but I wish he wasn’t, if it wasn’t for him, my parents would still live."

"If it wasn’t for him, Voldemort wouldn’t have disappeared so many years." Karlien said.

"Yes, that’s true, but I still hate his memory if you don’t mind."

 

They entered their privet room, and started to put all their stuff in the closets. They removed two of the beds, because they only needed two.

 

Then they wanted to take a bath, they entered the bathroom, and everyone changed into their swimming suits.

They had even more fun playing with the taps, then Harry had last year.

One tap contained a perfume that smelled different to everybody. Harry really liked the smell of Karlien when she got it. But it smelled different when he smelled it on Hermione, Ron smelled other too, but Karlien and himself smelled the same.

When they were ready, they went to bed. Harry created a privacy screen, kissed Karlien goodnight and fell asleep in her arm, she did the same in his arm.
