The last couple of weeks leading up to the Easter holidays were a mad rush with everyone trying to find their potion ingredients. Kara hadn't spoken to Draco since she had split up with Harry - but Jenna had passed on his message so she used her free time to try to remember the spell. By the time the holidays rolled round Kara and Harry were on awkward speaking terms - Ron was still slightly moody but had been told to be nice to Kara by Hermione.

The first few days of the holiday the twins spent finishing off the spell. Hermione had started revising already - thanks to the three of them, none of the other Gryffindors dared make that much noise in the common room. They had been working all morning, with Ron and Harry playing wizarding chess, when Ron came over to them.

"Come on girls, you need a break. Let's go to lunch."

Jenna sighed and pushed her parchment away from her.

"I guess you're right. I'm nearly done anyway - thank God. What about you, Kay?"

Kara shook her head without looking up.

"No, I've still got the last line to go - bloody Latin!"

Kara jumped as a hand fell on her shoulder. She looked up to see Harry standing next to her. She glanced at his hand and smiled weakly.

"Come on Kara, you deserve a rest too."

Ignoring the relieved and amused looks from Ron and Jenna, Kara nodded and turned to Hermione.

"And you 'Mione - if we're taking a break, so are you."

They all forced a reluctant Hermione away from her notes and the five Gryffindors went down to lunch.

After lunch, Hermione ran back to the common room complaining that she was behind schedule. Ron turned to the others as they headed after her.

"What is wrong with my girlfriend?"

He winced - he hadn't meant to use the word girlfriend around Harry. Harry just shrugged.

"Don't know mate - girls are strange like that."

Kara shot a look at Harry but he was grinning at her so she smiled back. When the reached the common room the boys went back to chess and the twins back to their spell. They had been working for a while when Jenna let a 'woo-hoo' of joy.

"I'm all done, finally! How about you, Kay?"

"Nearly, just can't think what 'now' is in Latin."

Hermione heard Kara's comment and looked up.

"I am...."

Kara glanced at her, puzzled.

"You're what?"

"No, iam. It's now in Latin."

Kara laughed.

"Of course...."

She looked down at her parchment, a grin spreading across her face

"... iam geminus totu denuo ... alright - looks like I'm done too."

"I guess we should go see Dumbledore then."

With that, the twins headed down to the staff room. To their relief, Professor Lupin answered the door and he quickly escorted them to the stone gargoyle and said the password without asking any questions. Dumbledore smiled as he saw them enter his office.

"Ah Remus, Kara and Jenna - I trust it is good news?"

"Yes Professor. Jenna and I have completely remembered the spell...."

Jenna cut across Kara turning to Lupin as she spoke.

"We need one of Sirius' possessions though."

Lupin nodded.

"I can get you a robe, is that okay?"

"As long as it was only his then yes."

Dumbledore cleared his throat causing the three of them to look up at him.

"Yes, well while we are on that note - Remus, would you like to ask the twins what we recently discussed?"

Kara and Jenna looked at each other curiously then turned to Lupin who was looking rather awkward.

"Yes, well ... er ... I, that is to say, myself and Dumbledore were discussing your living arrangements during the summer...."

"We'll be going home...."

Jenna looked at the expressions on Dumbledore and Lupin's faces.

"... obviously not."

"Well your parents and ourselves thought it would be best if you went somewhere safe where Voldemort could not find you."

"But once we have done the spell then it will over, surely? There is nothing else we can do to Voldemort."

Dumbledore smiled sadly at Kara.

"Unfortunately you are both still likely to be targets, especially due to your friendship with Harry."

"So...."

Lupin continued.

"... has Harry told you about Grimmuald Place?"

The twins both nodded, realisation dawning on their faces.

"Well I currently reside there over the summer and when ... I mean if Sirius comes back then so will he obviously. Would you two like to spend the summer there as well?"

"Would we? Of course we would."

Jenna grinned and, having a particularly un-Jenna moment, leapt forward and hugged Lupin in thanks. Kara stepped forward then blushed slightly and just smiled at Lupin.

"Thanks."

Jenna and Dumbledore exchanged amused looks before he spoke up.

"Well that's settled then - I will inform your parents. Girls, I must ask that you do not tell anyone yet, even Harry and the others. It is best that as few people as possible know about this for the time being ... Remus could you stay a minute?"

The twins nodded and went to leave but Dumbledore's voice called them back.

"Kara?"

Kara turned round - a little worried when she saw the serious expression on Dumbledore's face.

"Yes?"

"Absolutely no-one must know about your living arrangements, is that clear?"

Kara nodded in understanding and the twins headed back to the Gryffindor tower.

Now the twins had finished the spell they spent more time relaxing - well, when they weren't being pestered by Hermione to revise. The talk often turned to Quidditch and the up-coming match with Ravenclaw. Kara was getting more and more secretly nervous as it was slowly dawning on her how much winning the Cup truly meant to everyone especially Ron and Harry. She had told Jenna that she was fine with flying now but the truth was she was still petrified every time she was in the air - it was just she didn't have time to dwell on it during a match and she knew that the team were counting on her. It was very early on the first Friday morning of the hols that she decided to do something about it. She got dressed and, grabbing her Firebolt, headed out to the Quidditch pitch before anyone else awoke. She swallowed nervously before mounting her broom and forcing herself in the air. She flew fine for a while until she looked down. She swayed in panic and landed quickly.

"This is stupid - you know you can do this."

"You've never had a problem riding before."

Kara spun round to see Draco leant against his broom, smirking lazily at her. She smiled briefly before turning away hurriedly.

"What, no witty comeback?"

Kara froze as she felt Draco's hands on her hips. She slowly turned round, struggling to meet his gaze.

"What are you doing here?"

Draco frowned.

"Do I need a reason to see you? It's not like you have to ask Harry for permission anymore."

Kara attempted to look annoyed but gave up and grinned.

"So that's the reason? Look Draco, I do like you and...."

Kara shrugged and tore her gaze away from him.

"... hell, I do want to be with you but it's too soon, especially for Ha...."

Before she could continue, Draco kissed her. When they pulled apart, Draco spoke first.

"I don't want to be rebound guy so I'm willing to wait ... so what's the problem with your flying?"

Smiling at Draco's swift change of subject, Kara explained.

"Not long before I came here I had a real bad fall. I pretty much had no fear with flying and I was trying to see how high I could get. I was messing about and doing loops and the like when a gust of wind took the broom from underneath me and there was no way for me but down. Strangely enough, after falling about 100 feet and being knocked cold for a couple of days you can't help develop a fear of flying ... well, actually falling."

Kara laughed bitterly.

"But you fly really well during Quidditch?"

"Yeah well everything goes so fast I don't have time to think and besides I was kinda forced to be a chaser by Jen - it was either that or Harry would have found about my feelings for you ... but thinking about it, I guess he will do eventually anyway."

Draco raised his eyebrows before both he and Kara burst out laughing. Once they finally stopped, Draco glanced at the sky.

"Come on let's both fly. I promise to catch you."

Kara smiled briefly before they both took to the air. They flew for about an hour with Draco hovering near Kara at all times. He gradually forced her to fly higher and higher before he shouted to her.

"Look down."

Kara automatically looked down and braced herself to feel nervous but nothing happened. She caught Draco's eye and blew him a kiss. When they finally both landed, Kara had a huge grin on her face. She leapt off her broom and hugged Draco

"Thanks, I didn't think about falling off once. You promise to always be ready to catch me?"

"I promise."

Before the moment could turn into anything, Kara thrust her broom at Draco.

"Wanna try a Firebolt 2004?"

With an eager grin, Draco took the broom and flew in the air. Kara was sitting watching him and didn't notice Ron, Harry, Jenna and Oliver heading out on the pitch behind her - Jenna ran ahead and collapsed next to her.

"Hey girl, what you doing sitting out here?"

Kara smiled automatically before she spotted the boys heading towards them

"Uh oh."

Draco landed in front of the girls and smiled at Jenna before handing the broom back to Kara.

"Cheers Kay, it's fantastic...."

"What's he doing here?"

The girls and Draco turned to face the others who had just arrived. Ron, who had spoken, was currently glaring evilly at Draco.

"Well?"

The twins and Draco shared helpless glances before Oliver came to their rescue.

"Well, now Malfoy's father can't pull strings at the Ministry he won't be getting his hands on an exclusive broom for a while so I guess Kara felt sorry for him...."

Draco opened his mouth to retort but shut it again when Kara placed her hand over his. Unfortunately Harry noticed, but before he could say anything Oliver carried on quickly

"... come on Ron weren't you going to show me this new play of yours?"

With that Oliver dragged Ron and Harry away leaving the twins and Draco alone.

"Bloody Wood...."

"Oliver just saved your butt so I would shut up if I were you, Draco"

Draco grinned at Jenna before quickly giving Kara a kiss on the cheek which fortunately the guys did not notice.

"See you later."

As he headed off the pitch Kara turned to Jenna, one eyebrow raised.

"I assume Oliver has been informed about me and Draco?"

Jenna blushed.

"Yeah, I sort of let it slip the other day - sorry."

"S'ok, thank god you did tell him. Please thank him for me."

Jenna grinned at her sister and they both headed over to the others.
