During the following week Kara had managed to avoid being alone with Jenna long enough for her to start an argument about Draco. Unfortunately, on Thursday morning at breakfast, Kara feared she couldn't avoid it for much longer - Draco's owl landed in front of her as she was eating her toast. Harry turned round from his conversation with Ron and glared at the owl before looking over to the Slytherin table and glaring at Draco.

"What's he want?"

Kara hurriedly removed the note and opened it.

"He wants to meet later today to do more potions work."

Kara glanced at Jenna and rolled her eyes briefly before turning to Harry.

"Is it okay if I go and meet Malfoy later? I really should be starting to get the ingredients."

Jenna snorted quietly - Kara had never asked a boyfriend for permission to do anything before. Harry gave a faint smile: 'at least she asked.'

"Yeah, I guess so."

With that, Kara turned and caught Draco's gaze - he raised an eyebrow and she nodded quickly. She then hurriedly turned and gave Harry a quick kiss before he could say anything else.

That evening Kara grabbed her bag, and after giving Harry a kiss goodbye, she headed down to the library. Jenna waited until she was sure Kara had left then she headed after her. As much as she hated to admit it, Jenna didn't like the way Kara was messing Draco about and she was going to make sure it didn't happen again.

Kara arrived in the library and headed straight over to where Draco was sitting. He grinned when he saw her - causing Kara's stomach to do its usual flip-over.

"Hey hun, I had a thought yesterday - do I ever get my robes back?"

Kara pouted but her eyes were sparkling with laughter.

"Oh, and I so wanted to keep them."

Draco chuckled as she sat down next to him.

"God you have me wrapped your little finger! Okay, you can keep them."

Kara grabbed a potions book with a chuckle and they settled down to work. Neither of them noticed but Jenna soon arrived in the library and was currently sitting the other side of the nearest bookcase to them, occasionally sneaking a glance through the gaps in the books. Draco and Kara had been working for about a few hours when he put his book down, Kara carried on reading oblivious.

"Kay?"

"Hmmm?"

"I love you."

Kara looked up from her book, frowning - she can't have heard right.

"Pardon?"

"I ... Love ... You."

Kara dropped her book and stood up quickly before Draco could reach across to her. She paced back and forth in front of him, wringing her hands nervously.

"Draco, hun, you can't...."

"I can and I do, and I think it's about time you tell me how you really feel."

Kara stopped in front of the bookcase separating her and Jenna and turned to face Draco.

"Don't ask me that. I don't know...."

Draco sighed and slowly got up, causing Kara to carry on hurriedly.

"... It's just being with Harry is the smart thing to do. That is what my head is telling me to do."

Draco shot over to Kara, slamming his hand against the bookcase in frustration - the noise drowned out the groan of annoyance from Jenna who was listening to every word. The force of Draco's hand, however, caused some books to fall to the floor exposing Jenna to Draco. He glanced at her quickly before snarling at Kara.

"Love isn't brains, darling, its blood. Blood screaming inside you to work its will. I may be love's bitch, but at least I'm man enough to admit it."

Before Kara could reply Draco spun round and stormed out of the library leaving a very shaky Kara to slide back in to her seat, her head in her hands.

Jenna followed Draco out of the library quietly - Kara still not noticing her sister's presence.

"Hey Draco, wait a minute."

At the sound of his name, Draco stopped dead. He had expected it to be Kara coming after him to make up some other excuse but the voice belonged to Jenna Geminus: 'why is she calling me Draco?' Only Kara and students from his house called him by his given name.

"What do you want?"

Draco's face hardened into the all-knowing Malfoy sneer as he turned to face Jenna. She didn't answer but pulled him into a nearby classroom instead.

"What do you want?"

Draco repeated his question.

"Okay, you know I overheard you just then so there's no reason for me denying it."

"Do you have a point? I have things to do."

"Quit the bastard act with me Draco, and yes I do have a point. Don't interrupt again, otherwise you'll be sorry you did."

Jenna paused for a moment and Draco chose to remain quiet. Jenna's tone softened as she began to speak again.

"Good, now I've got your attention - I know you really like my sister and god forbid she likes you too and I'm beginning to see why. Look all I'm saying is that I'll talk to her - nobody should be played like that, not even you."

Jenna went to leave it at that and made to leave the room but was stopped by Draco calling her back.

"Jenna?"

"Yeah?"

"Thanks."

Jenna gave Draco a reassuring smile before walking out of the classroom shaking her head: 'dear lord what am I doing? what am I Miss Agony Aunt now - trying to fix the problem. Oh dear, Jenna Geminus has a weak spot for love sick males - what is the world coming to? I need a boyfriend - oh wait I have one'.

Jenna returned to the common room to wait for her sisters' return and she didn't have to wait long. As Kara entered the common room, Jenna rose from her seat by the fire and crossed quickly to Kara

"We need to have that talk now!"

Jenna growled almost inaudibly but Kara caught every word and headed to the stairs that led to the girl's dormitories with Jenna.

"How did it go with Malfoy? Hey hun, where you going?"

Harry called after them trying to find out why Jenna looked pissed off.

"Harry, its sister stuff - leave us alone for a bit please."

Jenna gave Harry a warning look who took it that it would be about the spell they were trying to remember. The two girls entered their dorm to find it occupied by Lavender and Parvati who were gossiping over a magazine article.

"You two out now!" Jenna ordered.

"This is our dorm too, you can't order us out, Jenna," Parvati protested.

"Just watch me."

Jenna brandished her wand and pointed it at her dorm mates.

"You either leave now and let me talk to my sister in private or I make you leave, your choice?"

Parvati and Lavender chose to leave of their own accord - they knew better than to get into an argument with Jenna. Both girls gave Kara a sympathetic look as they left. Jenna slammed the door behind them, locked it and placed a silencing charm on the room so their discussion could not be over heard.

Lavender and Parvati emerged into the common room grumbling to each other and shot the trio a look before Lavender addressed them in disgust.

"What's got up Jenna's arse? She just ordered us out of our dorm - can you believe the cheek of that girl?"

"Maybe I should go see what's wrong."

"I don't think so, Hermione. Jenna was threatening us with her wand and she made us lose our page."

Parvati then preceded to wave her magazine in front of the trio.

"Okay, Parvati - we get it. I'll talk to them when they come back down."

With Hermione's reassurance, Parvati and Lavender left the common room as Oliver entered.

"What's wrong with them?"

"Hey Oliver, nothing much. Jenna just ordered them out of their dorm."

"Sounds serious."

"She's talking to Kara - it's probably about the you-know-what. Jenna looked really pissed though."

Harry explained to Oliver and he got a worried look on his face.

"Don't worry about it, Oliver. They'll sort it out - I know they will."

Oliver gave a polite smile to Harry's over-optimism as he took a seat and waited for the girls to come back down.

"Jenna...."

"No Kay, it's my turn to speak. You've been playing Draco and Harry from day one and neither of them deserves it."

"Jen...."

"I'm not done. I followed you to the library earlier - I heard everything that Draco said to you. Kara, for gods sake will you decide who you want, Harry or Draco. You can't have both - it's not fair on either of them."

"Jenna, I don't know. My head tells me I should be with Harry, it makes sense."

"But you don't love him, do you?"

"I ... argh, I don't know."

"That's the thing though Kay, you do know - you just don't want to admit it. Hell, I don't want you to admit it but you can't string Harry along - the boy's been through enough."

"You sound like Cho."

"Yeah well, maybe she's right Kay. Did you ever think of that?"

Jenna sighed audibly to control her temper.

"Look Kara, there's a simple way to find out who you really think - no, who you know you should be with."

"How?"

"Pick one."

"Jenna, I told you I...."

"No Kara, it's a game. I say two things and you say the first one that comes to you. No thinking involved, just answer, okay?"

Kara nodded in reply.

"Okay, lets get started - Zonkos or Honeydukes?"

"Honeydukes."

"Tea or coffee?"

"Tea."

"Ron or Ernie?"

Kara giggled as she answered .

"Ron."

"Gold or silver?"

"Silver."

"Draco or Harry?"

"Draco."

Kara slapped a hand over her mouth and Jenna grinned at her sister.

"There's your answer."

Kara collapsed on her bed.

"I think I'm going to be sick."

"No you're not, but you know what this means, don't you?"

Kara looked up Jenna.

"It means you have to give Harry 'the talk'."

"Oh no."

A few minutes later the twins made their way back do.wn to the common room. Jenna smiled at Oliver and collapsed on the sofa next to him

"You guys all sorted?"

"We soon will be."

Before Oliver could reply, Kara approached Harry very reluctantly.

"Hey Harry, we ... er...."

Kara swallowed nervously.

"...We need to talk."

Hermione and Oliver both looked up sharply at Kara before looking at Jenna who nodded regrettably. Harry, being male, didn't get the implication and stood up.

"Sure, we can go to my dorm."

Once Harry and Kara were in the boy's dorm, Kara couldn't talk - her throat was bone dry. Harry sat on his bed and frowned when he caught her nervous expression.

"What's up?"

Kara ran her fingers through her hair, trying to ignore the feeling of nausea in her stomach. She had done this before - just not with anyone she particularly cared about or was close friends with.

"I ... that is ... we...."

"Kara, what's wrong? Whatever it is, you can tell me."

"I can't go out with you anymore."

"What?"

Kara flinched at the hurt expression on Harry's face and carried on hurriedly.

"It's just Cho was right, I'm not treating you fairly. I guess I just enjoy having fun at the moment and it's not right that I keep hurting you."

Harry glared at Kara from the bed, a stony expression on his face.

"This is to do with Malfoy, isn't it?"

A guilty look flickered across Kara's face, but when she turned to face Harry it was hidden.

"No, well ... not really. It's just I guess the thing with me spending time with him has just made me realise what I'm doing."

Harry stood up and tried to pull Kara into an embrace.

"Don't do this."

Kara pulled back, shaking her head.

"I have to."

With that, Kara ran down to the common room, tears streaming down her face. She ran past the others before they could stop her. Oliver, Ron and Hermione all turned to Jenna who shrugged unhappily.

"Hey guys, I'm sorry but she needed to do it - Ron, you better go up and see Harry"

-----------------------

The evening after Harry and Kara's break up Jenna sent her owl Nicodemus to Draco:

Draco

Need to talk about Kara - meet me outside DADA classroom after dinner.

Jenna

The note arrived just as Draco was entering the Great Hall for dinner. He quickly took the note off the Nicodemus and read it. He then looked over towards the Gryffindor table and caught Jenna's eye, giving her a swift nod as he took his seat at the Slytherin table.

Dumbledore watched the display from the head table with a twinkle in his eye but he wasn't the only one that noted the exchanges. Oliver did too, but only recognising Jenna's owl Nicodemus as it dropped a note off to Draco. He shook his head: 'don't be stupid, why would Jenna be sending a note to Malfoy? It's probably not even Nicodemus.'

Oliver turned his attention to his dinner, ignoring the nudging feeling in the back of his mind like something was going on that he didn't know about.

After dinner, Jenna made her way to the DADA classroom and wasn't waiting outside long before Draco arrived.

"Let's talk in here."

Jenna ushered Draco into the DADA classroom and closed the door to (but not fully), before perching herself on a nearby desk.

After dinner, Oliver remembered that he had left some second year papers in the DADA classroom that needed grading by Monday. He thought he might as well get it over with before the weekend - he'd not seen much of Jenna in the last week (well, apart from in classes and the strained bit back in the Gryffindor common room earlier when Kara had broken up with Harry and Jenna was left giving Hermione some sort of explanation about why, which Oliver had tuned out). As he got closer to the classroom door he heard voices coming from inside and frowned slightly. He was about to enter when he heard Jenna's voice and then Draco: 'What the hell is she doing talking to Malfoy?'

Oliver waited at the door, listening to the conversation and he didn't like what he heard.

"... Now don't get all happy on me, coz you still need to back off for a bit - let things cool down for a while."

"I hate to admit it but you're probably right,"

"Yeah, you don't want to end up the rebound guy that never works out. Believe it or not ... I can't believe I'm saying this, but...."

"But what?"

Draco raised an eyebrow at Jenna - he had a feeling what she was going to say but he wanted to hear her say it.

"... You've been played enough and I ... I ... argh this is difficult ... I don't want to see you get hurt ... there, happy I said it?"

Draco smirked at Jenna.

"Don't even think about putting on the bastard routine - I know you better than that."

"Do you now?"

"Well if what Kara tells me is true, then yes. Look I gotta go, just promise me you'll back off for a while ... give it a bit of time - it'll work itself right in the end."

Draco nodded in reply as Jenna turned to leave.

"Jenna?"

"Yeah?"

"Tell Kara I'll sort out the ingredients for our potions project."

"Will do, see you sometime in class."

Jenna went to cross the room to the door when it opened and Oliver walked in.

"Oliver! Hey, we were just...."

"You don't need to explain."

Oliver said briskly, crossing the room and grabbing the papers on the desk.

"No Oliver, you don't understand.

"I understand perfectly."

Oliver turned and stalked from the room.

"Damn it - men always have issues."

Jenna let out an 'argh' of frustration before turning back to Draco.

"You tell anybody about that little display and I'll have no problem spreading the word that you're in love with a Gryffindor."

"Wasn't gonna."

Jenna ignored the smirk on Draco's face and left the room to go explain things to Oliver.

Jenna went straight to Oliver's quarters. She knocked on his door and was glad when she heard footsteps approach and saw Oliver open the door

"What do you want Miss Geminus? I am busy."

Jenna winced: 'Ouch he really is pissed.'

"What's with the Miss Geminus? You gonna invite me in or not, we need to talk."

Jenna didn't wait for an answer and walked straight in and settled herself on the sofa.

Oliver groaned as Jenna walked past but he shut the door anyway. Instead of taking the spot next to her on the sofa, he moved over to the fire.

"You wanted to talk, so talk. I've got papers to grade."

"Drop the attitude, Oliver - you're being an idiot. It's not what it looked like."

"It looked like you were being pretty friendly with Malfoy."

"There's nothing going on between me and Draco."

Oliver winced when Jenna said Malfoy's first name.

"Look Oliver, there is ... nothing ... going ... on. I can't believe you, you don't trust me. I told you I would never cheat on you and I meant it, why can't you trust me?"

"I do trust you."

"Well obviously you don't, otherwise you would quit jumping to conclusions - first Ron then Draco. God Oliver, who do you think I am?"

Jenna had rose from her seat now and was pacing in front of the sofa.

"Just coz Kara has been stringing both Draco and Harry along doesn't mean I'm like that."

Jenna quickly slapped a hand to her mouth as she saw Oliver's eyebrows shoot up in surprise.

"I shouldn't have said that, forget that last thing I said - I shouldn't have said that. Kara's going to kill me ... you can't tell anyone you know about that."

Jenna dropped down on to the sofa and buried her face in her hands.

"Shit, shit, shit - I'm so dead."

Oliver crossed to the sofa and sat down next to Jenna, taking her hands away from her face and holding them in his. Jenna refused to meet his gaze.

"I'm sorry - I was having an idiot moment again."

"It's my fault I should have just told you outright. Damn it, why do things have to be so complicated all the time?"

Oliver cupped a hand under her chin and brought her gaze up to meet his.

"Jenna, I do trust you and I won't say anything about Kara and Malfoy but promise me something?"

"What?"

"You trust me and tell me about these things next time."

Jenna smiled at Oliver before replying.

"Yeah, I promise."

"Now I believe some form of making up is in order."

Oliver grinned cheekily at Jenna.

"I quite agree, Mr Wood."
