Geminus

The next couple of weeks saw the twins struggling to fit in trying to remember the spell plus do homework, potions projects and extra Quidditch practises. Ron was planning on doing very well in the next match - the Dream Team needed to make up a lot of house points after their prank on Snape. The Saturday of the Quidditch match rolled round quickly. Ron gave his pre-match pep talk in the changing rooms before the match then everybody rose and put their brooms together.

"GRYFFINDORS RULE!"

The team all yelled in unison before making their way onto the Quidditch pitch. Ron's face was once again full of determination - although Hufflepuff was a pushover he wanted them to be prepared as the new captain had put a strong team together. They all mounted their brooms and took to the air welcomed by thunderous applause as both teams took their starting positions.

"Welcome to Quidditch - today's match is Hufflepuff versus Gryffindor."

Ernie Macmillan announced and the crowd went wild again.

"Gryffindor are currently in first place after they steam rolled Slytherin in their first match, but this is Quidditch - anything can happen. The balls are released and the game begins...."

"... Gryffindor chaser Kara takes early possession, passes to Weasley, who passes to Jenna - they seem to be flying in V formation, as we all know this is one of the Gryffindors best attack. Looks like captain Ron Weasley has got them using their excellent tactics. Kara Geminus on the break away, she fakes passes to sister Jenna, SCORE! Ten points to Gryffindor. And Gryffindor takes and early lead to what looks like is going to be and exciting match...."

"... The score is now 20 to 10 for Gryffindor and the Gryffindor Chasers are on the attack again - the Quaffle is about to be intercepted by Hufflepuff Chaser Finch -Fletchley - ooh that's gotta hurt, a Bludger sent by Thomas has stopped Fletchley in his tracks, and Gryffindor Chaser Weasley scores her first goal of the match. That means all 3 Chasers have scored one goal each making the score 30 to 10..."

"... Weasley drops the Quaffle and it is intercepted by Hufflepuff Chaser Jones and Hufflepuff are in possession for only the second time this match. Jones on the break away but the Gryffindor Chasers are hot on his tail. WATCH OUT! Hufflepuff Beaters Mannings and McKenzie just sent two Bludgers towards the Gryffindor Chasers who barely got away in time and SCORE! Chaser Jones has scored for Hufflepuff bringing the score 30 - 20 to Gryffindor...

"... Gryffindor back in possession, this looks like its going to be a close match. I think ... yes, Potter and Hufflepuff Captain and Seeker Conway have spotted the snitch. Potter and Conway are going head to head, Potter in front in a 30ft dive - will he pull out in time and catch the snitch? Yes he's done it, Harry Potter has caught the snitch, Gryffindor win 180 points to 20 - another spectacular win for the Gryffindors."

The Gryffindor team landed and before anything else they all put their brooms together.

"GRYFFINDORS RULE!"

They yelled in unison before hugging and congratulating each other. The team mounted their brooms and did a lap of honour. The team then landed and congratulated the Hufflepuffs on a well-played match. They may have won but they weren't arrogant about it. After the match, that had only lasted half an hour, the Gryffindors headed back to the common room to celebrate their victory. 180 points down, only 70 more to go until the Dream Team had got back the points that they had lost over the Snape prank. This meant they needed a win against Ravenclaw to be in with a chance at the House Cup as well as the Quidditch Cup. Due to their Hufflepuff win, Gryffindor were still in first place with Slytherin hot on their tails. If Slytherin won against Ravenclaw in a few weeks time, which was very likely seeing as Cho was still on a Nimbus 2001 and Malfoy on a Nimbus 2002, then Gryffindor and Slytherin would once again be tied for first place. The Gryffindors therefore needed an outstanding victory over Ravenclaw to win the Quidditch cup. It would all come down to points and Ron and the rest of the Gryffindor team were hell bent on getting a Gryffindor victory this year - one that they could really be proud of and knew that the team had worked hard for and deserved.

The evening before Valentine's Day Kara and Jenna could be found sitting in their dorm on Kara's bed giggling wickedly. The other girls were downstairs so they had the room to themselves. They had already written serious Valentine cards to Harry and Oliver (Jenna needed some romantic encouragement from Kara beforehand). They were now writing some joke Valentine cards.

"So ... Ginny agrees to this then?"

"Yeah I asked her earlier. I assume that a fit of girly laughter meant yes anyway!"

Jenna shook her head in amusement and they wrote out a card to Ernie MacMillian as he had been so complimentary during his Quidditch commentary. They signed it 'from the Gryffindor chasers.'

"So are we going to write any others?"

"How about Ron? He does seem to have a soft spot for us?"

Kara chuckled.

"Yeah but you are taking the blame if Hermione starts on us though."

"Okay, Narla could take her any day."

"That's cheating, she's not an Animagi."

"Boring!"

Jenna stuck her tongue out at her sister before writing a card. Kara grinned as she read what Jenna wrote: 'Dear Ron, we have the bikinis when are you going to supply the mud? Love Shay and Narla xx.'

"Hermione will kill us!"

"Probably. So are you going to write one to Draco then?"

Kara frowned at her sister - first she referred to him as Draco and second she had not long ago moaned at her for messing him about but now she was encouraging her? 'I guess she's still in wind up mode, but then again when isn't she?' Kara mused before grabbing another card.

"So what you going to write, dear sister?"

"Just watch."

Jenna slowly smirked in amusement as she read the card: 'Dear Draco, I will soon require the pleasure of your company again, love ?'

Chuckling, the girls headed to the Owlery to send their joke cards, ignoring the curious looks from the Gryffindors as they left the common room.

On Valentine's Day morning Hermione, Kara and Jenna got dressed and headed downstairs to find Ron, Harry and Oliver waiting for them with cards and a red rose each. The girls exchanged cards and kisses with their respective boyfriends and, after putting their roses into a vase (a transfigured goblet courtesy of Jenna), they headed down to breakfast before the Hogsmeade trip.

They had just started breakfast when Dumbledore rose from his set at the head table.

"I hope everyone is having a good Valentine's Day so far and that the third years and above enjoy the trip to Hogsmeade. Now we will have the customary card giving."

Dumbledore clapped his hands and a large group of school owls flew in, all carrying Valentine cards.

Jenna and Kara grinned at each other when they spotted the confused look on Ron's face as a card landed in front of him. He ripped it open, a smile followed by a blush developing on his face as he read the inside. He passed it to Harry who laughed and faced Kara with a mock glare.

"Excuse me but why are you sending Valentine cards to my best mate?"

Jenna heard Harry's comment and answered before Kara could.

"She sent one to Ernie as well and...."

"We sent one to Ernie, as in me, Jenna and Ginny."

Kara quickly cut across Jenna before she could even think of finishing that sentence. Harry shrugged in amusement and they all turned to watch Ron try to explain to a not amused Hermione what the card was about.

"It was a joke ... they were fighting so I had to stop...."

"Oh lighten up Herm."

Hermione looked up at Jenna and soon the two of them were involved in a pretend argument over Ron. Kara was listening in, thoroughly entertained, when she felt a sharp stab on her arm.

"Ouch!"

She looked down and was puzzled to see a school owl in front of her holding a white rose. Kara took the rose and watched the owl fly off with a frown. She looked for a card and realised with horror that there was a green and silver ribbon tied around the stem. She hurriedly pulled the ribbon off but not before Jenna had noticed.

"What's that?"

"Shhh."

Kara held out the ribbon under the table.

"That's Slytherin colours"

"I know."

"That means...."

The twins looked at each other and whispered in unison.

"... Draco."

They looked up and spotted Harry and Ron staring at the rose in Kara's hand - fortunately they hadn't heard the conversation. Jenna decided to do something before an argument happened - plus it meant she could wind up her sister big time. Standing up, Jenna snatched the rose from Kara's hand

"Kara has an admirer, Kara has an admirer!"

Jenna waved the rose as she sung loudly. Kara could feel herself going red so she tried to snatch the rose back but Jenna kept pulling out of her reach. Kara glanced at Harry nervously but he was laughing and gave her a grin before looking back at Jenna. While everyone was watching Jenna in amusement, Kara chanced a look over at Draco. He smiled at her and she smiled back before she could help herself. Suddenly Dumbledore coughed loudly causing the two of them to break their gaze.

"Yes well, thank you for that announcement Miss Geminus. I'm sure the mystery of Kara's admirer may one day be solved but for now I suggest you head outside if you wish to go to Hogsmeade."

Kara looked at Dumbledore, who inclined his head towards the Slytherin table and winked. She looked away slightly amused and headed outside with the others.

At the head table, during Jenna's display of teasing her sister, Oliver couldn't help but chuckle at his girlfriend. As Oliver had arrived late after meeting Jenna in the Gryffindor tower, the only seat that had been left was between Professors Lupin and Snape .

"Do you have no control over your girlfriend?"

Snape sneered to Oliver as Jenna waved the rose about. Oliver couldn't help but snort with laughter earning a glare from Snape. Oliver tried to ignore the amusement on Professor Lupin's face while attempting to keep his own under control as he turned to answer the Potions Master.

"None whatsoever I'm afraid, Professor. I don't think there is a man alive that would ever be able to control her."

It was Lupin's turn to snort with laughter. Oliver had just been down right cheeky with the surly, bad tempered Potions Master but was saved any further remark by the Headmaster intervening in Jenna's wind up. After that Oliver, with a little help from Lupin, managed to escape quickly from the head table to meet Jenna out in the entrance Hall.

"You almost got me in trouble," Oliver mused.

"What did I do this time?" Jenna asked, faking innocence.

"It was just Snape."

"Say no more, I don't want to hear it. So we going to Hogsmeade or not?"

"We are oh light of my life."

Oliver said, linking his arm with Jenna's as she made a gagging noise.

"I think I'm going to throw up."

"You little...."

Ignoring the rest of the student body present waiting to leave for Hogsmeade, Oliver began to tickle Jenna and she squealed with laughter fighting to remain standing.

"Mr Wood?"

"Shit, McGonagall," Oliver breathed at Jenna.

Oliver stopped with his tickling allowing Jenna to attempt to compose herself but the look on McGonagall's face was enough to set her laughing again.

"Could you at least try and act like a member of this school's faculty until you are outside of these grounds?"

"Sorry," both Oliver and Jenna muttered.

"I don't want to have to warn you again. You both agreed to the Headmasters rules on matters such as this."

"Yes we did. It won't happen again."

Oliver answered for Jenna as well as she was still having trouble controlling her laughter. This in itself got a glare from McGonagall before she left the couple.

"Oooh you in trouble!"

Jenna turned to see her sister approach with Harry, Ron and Hermione.

"So Kay, any clue who your secret admirer is?"

"None at all. It was probably just Macmillan, he does seem to have a soft spot for us."

Kara was doing some quick thinking to try and avoid the topic.

"If it was then I think we need to have words, like where's my rose?"

"Oi! I'm still here, you know?"

Jenna cheekily grinned at Oliver before replying.

"I know."

"Come on, let's go to Hogsmeade."

Kara prompted her sister and Oliver in an attempt to move the conversation away from the rose that she had received from Draco. She groaned under breath at the next expected talk from her sister in the very near distant future.
