So Draco is bit OOC, you don't mind right? Also more about Alyniana will come out in the next few chapters.

Alyniana woke up to the sunlight streaming in her room. She glanced at her watch. It read 6:30 am. Great, she thought. She slowly got out of bed and went to the bathroom to take a quick shower. When she got out and was drying herself off, she charmed her hair to be neat and left it in the messy bun from last night. She put on her evil 'Gryffindor' uniform and then covered it with a standard robe. She grabbed her leather book bag and went downstairs where she proceeded to make some coffee. As she drank her cup of the yummy home blend, Draco came down his stairs, still in his pajamas.

"Good morning Draco. See you in the Hall," she said dropping her cup in the sink and rushing out of the room.

Draco looked at his own super-cool Rolex and hurriedly went through his morning routine before going after her. He wanted to have enough time for a decent breakfast after all. He arrived at his table just before the owls delivered the morning post. He looked at his plate where his schedule was located and saw that all his classes were Slytherin/Gryffindor. He scowled, but tucked the cursed paper into his book bag. Draco was reaching for some toast when an unfamiliar owl dropped a package on his head. He fed the owl, and then opened the package.

Bad idea Draco, Alyniana thought as she observed him open the package. When he reached the inner box, she stopped staring and tried to contain her laughter. A loud bang silenced all conversation in the Hall and drew stares in the direction it had come from. She heard Draco let out an enraged growl and then whatever he said next was drowned out in a sea of laughter. She knew then that the spell had gone perfectly. She chanced a look at her success and grinned. Draco's robes had turned into a yellow ballet leotard, tights and a tutu. His platinum blonde hair was pink and he was wearing a very feminine tiara. Just then the bell to go to class rang. Alyniana had started towards the dungeons when Draco caught up with her.

"Draco, you look cute," she said to the scowling boy.

"Alyniana you need to help me find an antidote," he pleaded.

"Sorry Draco, but I'm not being late to Potions the first day." She answered while starting to accelerate in the direction of the dungeons and ended up being the first one in the classroom...besides Snape of course.

"Please remain standing along the back wall," Snape said icily. He waited until the bell to begin the class rang and he could see his students against the wall.

"As some of you may be aware," Snape began," your schedules have listed all your classes as Slytherin/Gryffindor or even all four houses for the entire term. Now you must realize that you will not be with the entirety of both classes for every one. Some may have only one or two in them because they have chosen that elective as well. Now the other teachers and I have put together a permanent partnering plan for the term in all classes, no contest." He paused to let the groaning stop. "Now as I list off the pairs, please chose a desk and sit down immediately. In no particular order...Potter and Pansy...Weasly and Blaise...

With everyone seated, Professor Snape commenced the lesson. Everyone, well almost everyone, was dreading the term to come. Only two people didn't mind the pairing, Draco and Alyniana. Well, Draco would not mind it usually, but right now he was depressed because he looked like a freakish whore.

After sitting through Potions with people laughing at him, when the bell rang Draco wouldn't let Alyniana go to History of Magic until he was normal again. He tried every spell he knew to try and reverse the effects, but to no avail. Snape shooed them out after the warning bell rang and Draco tried to escape to his room again but Alyniana wouldn't have it. She dragged him to History of Magic and they made it just in time. They slipped in two seats at the back and Draco was preparing for the laughter to start, but it didn't. Everyone was looking at Professor Binns as he taught a boring lesson on the goblins idea of a party. He knew that everyone should be laughing at him, but as he turned to question Alyniana, he noted that she had her wand out in her left hand and was scribbling notes on the parchment with her right. She felt his gaze on her.

"Well, you think I can stand all the laughing?" she harshly whispered, "get your things out."

"Thank you," replied Draco and he pulled out his quill, ink and parchment.

If only he knew, thought Alyniana, he would hate me. She kept the spell on the class until the one she had placed on Draco wore off. As she put away her wand, she pulled out her mirror and gave it to him. He stared at the round thing until she opened it and he saw his reflection in the mirror. He was back to normal! He gave the round thing back to her and for the rest of class he had an uncharacteristic smile on his face.

Later that day, after classes and dinner were over, Draco and Alyniana were stretched out on separate couches doing their homework. She was having a hard time concentrating because the image of him under her spell that morning kept popping up. Eventually though, she did complete her homework and she looked at the ancient clock on the mantel. Only eight 'o'clock, she thought. It's too early to go to bed. Maybe I should go to the Quidditch pitch. She stood up and made to go upstairs to her room to fetch her broom when a hand grabbed her arm. She spun around and glared at Draco.

"What do you want?" she asked, close to pulling out her wand.

"Nothing, I just wanted to take you somewhere," he replied.

"Right...What if I don't want to go with you?" she questioned.

"Then I'll just drag you," he answered with a smirk.

"Fine, but make it fast. I want to something else," she said in an annoyed tone.

Draco smirked and led his captive to the back wall. Before she could protest, he pulled her through the Slytherin portrait and they found themselves in a group of surprised 7th years. They looked at Alyniana with suspicious glares until Draco explained about her hatred of the Trio of goody-two-shoe Gryffindors and then they were making friendly remarks and welcoming her. He watched in amazement as Pansy, Lucia and Blaise (A/N: Blaise is a girl in my story) dragged her off to talk about girl stuff. His old friend, Alex, who had transferred to Hogwarts from Durmstrang in 6th year, gave him a handshake-hug and then a pat on the back.

"Hey Draco, congrats on the Head Boy job."

"Thanks Alex."

"You had some guts bringing that Gryffindor here."

"I know, but we were done our homework."

"It's cool she doesn't like the Trio."

"Yeah, I was shocked to learn that."

"You looked cool in your outfit this morning."

"Thank you...Hey! That's not funny!"

"I know but you did look precious in it. See, here's a picture," Alex said while reaching into his robes and pulling out a picture of Draco.

"Give me that!" he yelled, trying to snatch the picture dangling just out of his reach.

"He he, cute," Alyniana said, grabbing the picture," thank you for the picture Alex. Draco, we should go. McGonagall's going to be at our room in a sec."

"Alright, bye Alex." They went back through the portal with 'Trioless.'

They were just beside their bedroom doors, Alyniana having finished hiding Draco's picture with the others she had taken, and Draco having finished applying more gel to his already coated hair, when McGonagall came in.

"Good evening Mr. Malfoy, Miss Greenleaf," she said.

"Good evening Professor McGonagall," they said.

"As you know, the Head Boy and Girl are in charge of investigating problems in the school. You will have to discover who is behind Mr. Malfoy's unfortunate accident."

"Yes Professor McGonagall."

"Also, you will have to walk the castle for and hour after curfew every other night, together, looking for stray students, starting tonight."

"Yes Professor McGonagall."

"Very well, see you both soon," she said and left with a swish of her robes.

Draco turned to Alyniana. "There's still an hour until curfew."

"Yeah, I know. I'm going to read in front of the fireplace," she said.

"I think I'll join you," he said.

"If you must. Accio book," she commanded and sat on the couch where the book flew into her hands.

"I must," he replied, summoning his book and sitting beside her.

"You know," Draco started after awhile," I only know that you're a girl, you like blue and are in Gryffindor."

"That's all you'll know about me," Alyniana replied coldly.

"That's not fair. You probably know loads of stuff about me," he protested.

"I might, but only because you're a show-off."

"Fine, if that's the way you're going to be," he said and moved to another couch.

"It is the way I'm going to be," she retorted and stretched out on the couch. For now, she thought.

*****************************

By curfew, Alyniana was having a little nap on her couch, her book on her chest. Draco wasn't looking forward to waking her, because she'd probably snap at him and it was a big section of the castle that they had to patrol together. He nudged her shoulder with his knee and waited. No response. He poked her a few times. Again there was no response from sleeping beauty. Not wanting to be cruel, much, and needing to wake her up, he pulled hard on a loose strand of her hair. She let out a screech and grabbed her wand, ready to hex someone. He didn't want to be in a lot of trouble as he sheepishly pointed at the clock. She followed his finger and let out another screech. She closed her book and grabbed his arm, dragging him out of the room and barely giving him time to shut the portrait.

***********************************

The rest of the week passed uneventfully. Draco and Alyniana had their classes together, did their homework and visited the Slytherins, Alyniana going more often than Draco before their hourly patrols and curfew in the evenings. They were no closer to solving the case of Draco's unexpected transformation on the first day of classes, well Draco wasn't. On Saturday, Alyniana slipped off to the Slytherin's to talk to Pansy, Lucia and Blaise. She was happy to have friends at Hogwarts now. They greeted each other and sat on the leather couches that adorned the green, black and silver Slytherin common room. Most of the other Slytherins were outside, working on annoying the other houses or still sleeping, so it was pretty empty. The girls talked about random events until the subject of Draco's unexpected transformation came up.

"So, Alyniana, are you and Draco any closer to solving the mystery of you know...?" asked Lucia.

"Can you girls keep a secret?" asked Alyniana.

"Yes," they replied all at once.

"I was the one who bewitched Draco."

"Why?" questioned Lucia.

"Because he's so arrogant and boring that I decided that he needed something fun."

No one answered. That's weird. They should have agreed with me by now, Alyniana thought. She heard someone clean their throat behind her and followed the stunned gazes of her friends as she turned around. Standing there, a not-amused smirk gracing his face was Draco. She gulped, wondering what he would do. Nothing super evil I hope, she thought.

Draco was amused... and angry. He was shocked to learn that Alyniana would do something like that to him, but he had found it interesting to hear her motives. He was still angry though, forcing the smile that was forming back into his angry smirk. She needed to be taught a lesson. Knowing that it would annoy her very much, he grabbed her customary braid and pulled her up off the couch and out of the room. He did not let go of her braid until they were down in their common room and he had flung her onto a couch.

"You- you pulled that prank on me?!" he yelled, his silver eyes flashing.

"Yes, I did," she said meekly, hanging her head.

"How dare you-you evil little bastard witch!"

"Oh, so that's what I am, is it?!" she cried, tears forming in her eyes.

"Uh huh and you know it. I mean, how could you do that to me? I thought we were friends."

"We are friends, I guess you can't take a joke," she said, a tear rolling down her cheek.

"Tears won't help you now, Alyniana."

"Fine, if you don't want to admit it was funny and no harm done, I'm gone," she sobbed as she got up and ran to her room.

"Alyniana!" Draco cried, not finished scolding her yet. He plopped down onto a couch and brooded. Then he heard a crash coming from Alyniana's room. He raced upstairs and burst into her room, to find her sitting in front of her mirror, surrounded by shards of glass and drops of her own blood.

"Alyniana, why did you do that?" he asked, all earlier harshness replaced by his usual coldness.

"Because, I don't want to look at myself if one prank made you that angry at me," she sniffled, new tears forming.

Draco sat down beside her and examined her hand. There were little fragments of glass in the many slits on her hand. Seeing how his attempt at scaring her had really worked, he forgot about being harsh and switched back to friend mode.

"Alyniana, you didn't need to do this," he stated, "I can take a joke, I just wanted to scare you."

"Really?" she asked as she mouthed a spell, tears dissolving. He noticed.

"What did you do?" he asked suspiciously, rising from her bed and going to his room, since her mirror was smashed.

"It wasn't me, honestly," she replied while trailing behind him, waving her wand.

"You're the only one who could do something," he accused, ignoring her giggles.

"Just look in the mirror already," she teased, waving her wand a final time.

"I don't get it, nothing's wrong," he said searching franticly.

"Look," she stated and held out her hand-it was completely healed-then she ran away.

"Hey!" he yelled as she disappeared. He chased after her into her room and tripped over a box that wasn't there earlier. Draco turned and examined the box. It had 'Harry Potter' written on it. He noticed two similar ones that read 'Hermione Granger' and 'Ronald Weasley'. He looked at Alyniana with eyes that questioned 'what?'

"These are the special packages I use to contain my spells," she answered." Want to help?

"Sure, sounds fun," he replied.

"Now we just need to find some scapegoats," she wondered aloud.

********************************

Draco and Alyniana had just finished the packages when they heard McGonagall call for them. They exited Alyniana's room after hiding the packages under her bed. They went downstairs, only to find, not McGonagall's body, but her head in the fireplace.

"Good evening Miss Greenleaf and Mr. Malfoy. I trust you remember that there are prefect meetings?" she greeted them.

"We forgot Professor McGonagall." Alyniana replied.

"Well, if you care to join us in my classroom within the next five minutes, you can. Starting now," she said and disappeared.

Draco and Alyniana took off at a run, tearing through the hallways to get to the Transfiguration classroom. They made it with a minute to spare. The twelve prefects were already there and they were waiting patiently. The fifth year prefects were: Selenity Forest of Ravenclaw; Thomas Bones of Hufflepuff; Celeste Parker of Slytherin; and George Jefferson of Gryffindor. The sixth year prefects were: Jordan Eckert of Ravenclaw; Hannah Swartz of Hufflepuff; William Doter of Slytherin; and Ginny Weasley of Gryffindor. Once Draco and Alyniana took their seats, McGonagall started going over the years plans. The group was to plan a Halloween Ball and a Yule Ball for fun since the teachers did not want the students getting over anxious about Voldemort's possible attacks. The meetings would be every Sunday at the same time, which she stressed with a glare at Draco and Alyniana or if the two felt there was a need for one. Otherwise, they were supposed to remember that house rivalry did not come into point deductions and to try and keep the fights down to a minimum. Having said all she had to, McGonagall left the prefects to get to work on the Balls.

Draco, who had too much on his mind, let Alyniana work on a schedule and assign tasks. She made up a rough schedule on a piece of parchment and copied it for everyone so that they would remember. Then she excused herself and Draco after saying they were going to work on the "problem" and said that they were dismissed for the night. She reminded Selenity, George, Hannah and William that they had patrol and she grabbed Draco's arm and dragged him out. Enraged, he started chasing her back to their rooms, at which she beat him. He did, however, tackle her onto a couch and start tickling her until she was able to use a full body bind curse on him and escape. She left him lying on the floor until she was safe in her room and ready for bed. After removing the curse, she listened to the pounding at her door and laughed. She walked over to her balcony and stepped out. The moon was shining on the lake making a giant reflection. She sighed as she stared out into the darkness. Although she knew what was going to happen tomorrow, she was dreading it. With that unpleasant thought in mind, she shut her balcony door and went to her bed. She snuggled into the smooth covers and closed her eyes, trying to clear her thoughts.

********************************************

Monday morning in the Great Hall proved to be an interesting one. Draco and Alyniana tried to remain calm while waiting for the mail to arrive. No one questioned her sitting at the Slytherin table because most knew of her or were her friends by now. She and Draco had made the fun surprises splatter-bombs which would hopefully splash some of the people around the Trio. Also, the spells were set to last twenty-four hours. A 'whoosh' from the many pairs of wings rang out through the hall. Mail call, she thought evilly. She observed that Ron, Harry and Hermione were surprised to be receiving packages, but once in their hands, the compulsion spells on the packages took effect and all three opened them together. KA-BOOM! A cloud of smoke covered the splashing of color, but as it cleared, the pair noticed that the Ravenclaws, Hufflepuffs and the other Gryffindors hadn't gotten splashed; it was mostly on the furniture and floor.

But Harry, Hermione and Ron were a different story. Harry's robes were now a purple and neon-green clown suit with white polka dots. His unruly hair was surprisingly tame, blue, shoulder-length and curly. Ron's robes were transformed into a rainbow ballet suit, complete with a red tutu and Pointe shoes. His flaming red hair was gone and his head was bald and shiny. Hermione had probably suffered the most. Her robes had become one of those t-shirts that had a picture of a skimpy bikini-clad body on it and it conformed to her body. Any of her exposed skin was green with blue spots. Her hair was pink and yellow and in a Mohawk. Her buck teeth had been spelled back and those and her fangs were exaggerated. A loud gasp rang through the Hall before the laughter of the Slytherins cut into the air. The Trio's many friends tried hexing the spells off but it didn't work. The friends then resigned to the fact that it was the same spell as the one that had been on Draco and would wear off during second class.

Up at the teacher's table, only McGonagall and Flitwick were truly outraged at the sight. The other teachers went around breakfast as usual and only Dumbledore knew of the culprits, but he wouldn't say anything. After all, the Head Boy and Girl were on the case and any good witch or wizard needed to relieve stress at points in their lives. He knew the spells were harmless, well at least to the person, and everyone would look back at it one day and it would be a good memory in a sea of bad.
