Chapter Two:

Look before you leap

Hi. I'm Veronica and I'm narrating this chapter in the first person. Why, you ask? Because I'm writing this story and I FEEL LIKE IT!!! Therefore I am.

{V: I am sooo stupid sometimes...}

{B: We know.

{V: Hey!}

Back to the story.

~Whee... through the whirly-pooly thing...~

~Bright light... yada yada yada...~

We opened our eyes to see that we were in a large stone hallway that was lit by torches. It was completely devoid of people as far as I could see. "What the... Where are we?" Of course, being typical me, I was more interested in where we were than if we were in danger or something.

{B: Stupid.}

{V: Hello! I am *trying* to tell a story here!}

{B: Yeah, trying and failing, lol.}

{V: *No comment*}

"Your guess is as good as mine," Beth replied.

"Ok!" I said feeling up to the challenge that wasn't. "We went through the whirly-pooly thing, to some weird wind tunnel thing and ended up in Harry Potter Land!" I was very proud of my deduction.

"How do you figure that?" Beth, being short like me, hadn't thought to look up for clues. Why she hadn't thought to look behind her was beyond me, but hey, what do I know?

"Behold!" I pointed at the portraits behind us, and at the large banner above them. What was so weird about those you ask? Well, duh. First of all, the portraits were moving and completely shocked to see two teenaged girls pop into their hall. Second of all, the banner proudly displayed the Hogwarts crest.

"Wow." My friend seemed rather amazed. She turned to me. "Ok, now what?"

I had been dancing and singing, "We're in Harry Potter Land, we're in Harry Potter Land," for no particular reason, but I didn't mind being interrupted. "Weee... Ah... Look around until we find someone and then... umm... wing it from there." I nodded. Beth nodded too.

"Sounds good."

"Ok."

"Lets go."

"All right." Arrive

We wondered around the halls until we heard movement in a nearby room. Beth wondered into the room before I could do something as sensible as wonder if we should go in there or not. I followed her anyway.

Inside was a man that had to be Snape. "What are you doing in here?" He demanded. "Ten points from Gryffindor."

I stared at him and said the first thing that came into my head. "We're not in Gryffindor, moron." Insulting him was probably not smart, but he *had* been rude. Beth snorted in laughter. She also stepped on my foot and gave me a strange look. Something along the lines of, 'What the heck are you doing?!"

He gave us an even stranger, possibly suspicious look, probably because... Well, look at it this way. We were two girls in a school where everyone's supposed to be wearing weird black robe things, and we were wearing shorts and t-shirts. We were in an English school, with an American accent. Plus I had just insulted him. Yeah, that's probably worth a weird look or two. "What house are you in then?" His voice still had hissing sound it usually did, but now it was thoughtful. Pondering.

"We're not in a house." Beth replied slowly.

He stared at us unblinkingly. Rather freaky if you ask me. "Come with me." He walked out the door.

Oh no! We're in trouble! Oh no! AAAAAAH! Summon the monkeys! They'll save us! Mwhahahahahaha!
