More To Life…The Sequel 06

"No, Lavender!" Parvati reached over and grabbed Lavender's wrist. "Don't put the caterpillars in yet! It has to sit for ten minutes!"

"What? I don't remember reading that in the directions!" Lavender told Parvati, picking up the directions and examining them. Then, Parvati reached over the cauldron and pointed at big letters:

'Do not add caterpillars in the potion until it has set for ten minutes!'

"Oh, I see!" Lavender said smiling.

Parvati laughed at her as she took the caterpillars from Lavender and put them on the table next to the cauldron.

Right then, Hermione burst into the room. She looked at Parvati and Lavender, who were bent over the potion. "What are you two doing?"

"Hi Hermione…" Lavender said, not even bothering to look up.

    "Brewing a potion," Parvati explained.

"What kind?" Hermione asked, with mild interest.

    "Uhhh…experimenting," Lavender lied.

"Oh," Hermione said, turning away and exited the dormitory and went down to the Common Room.

"That was close," Lavender whispered to Parvati. "Wait, how are we going to get these into their drinks?"

"Harry told me how," Parvati said.

    "Wicked!" Lavender exclaimed.

An hour later, the potion was finished. It was just how the book said it should look, thick and orange.

Then, Oliver and Harry burst through the doors, waving parchment in the air. "I got another love letter…" Oliver said. He handed Lavender the piece of parchment and she read:

Oliver-

You have the most perfect eyes that I have ever seen in my entire life. You're hair is so perfect that whenever I see you, I want to run my fingers through it. I love you.

Love,

Your Secret Admirer

Lavender gulped and handed the letter back to Oliver. Then, Harry handed Parvati a piece of parchment that read:

Harry-my darling-

You're untidy black hair and deep green emerald eyes amaze me. Some people say that they can't stand you're hair but, I for one thinks it makes you look very cute.

Love,

Your Secret Admirer

Lavender and Parvati walked down the corridor and saw the painting of the fruit. Parvati went up and tickled the pear. It giggled. "Wow!" Lavender giggled. "Hehehehe! That was cool!"

Parvati rolled her eyes and entered the kitchens where about fourteen house elves came over and started bowing to them. Parvati whispered to Lavender, "Cute little things aren't they?"

Lavender giggled and they went over to the Gryffindor Table House. They switched the goblets. Instead of goblets of pumpkin juice, Angelina and Alicia had goblets of Truth Potion. (They knew where the two girls sat because everyone sat in the same place everyday. Angelina and Alicia always sat across from Oliver, Harry, Lavender and Parvati.) "Dobby?" Parvati called.

The house elf, Dobby, came up to them and bowed.

"What time does dinner start?" Parvati asked him.

    Dobby replied. "Right now."

Parvati and Lavender looked at the four house tables and the food on them as the food rose up and put on the four house tables above. "Let's go!" Lavender told Parvati as they ran out of the kitchens.

Meanwhile, in the Great Hall…

"Where are Parvati and Lavender?" Ron asked as they seated themselves in their usual spots. "I haven't seen them for a while."

The food appeared before them. Angelina picked up her glass and sniffed it. "Ewww!" She said. "I am so sick of pumpkin juice! You want it Oliver?" She asked, holding the glass up for Oliver to get.

"Yeah!" He said, taking the glass.

"You want mine too, Harry?" Alicia asked him. "I'm getting sick of it too."

"Yeah!" Harry exclaimed, taking the goblet from her.

Then, Parvati and Lavender burst through the doors of the Great Hall, not noticing the stares from everybody and sitting down at their usual seats. Oliver and Harry had both finished their first glasses of pumpkin juice and started on Alicia and Angelina's. "So, Angelina…" Lavender started. "Alicia…"

    "Yeah?" They said in unison.

"Have you been sending love letters to Oliver and Harry?" Parvati asked quickly.

    "No…" They asked, dumbfounded.

"We have!" Oliver said to them.

"We've been writing love letters to us. We thought it would be funny!" Harry continued.

Parvati and Lavender looked up and Harry and Oliver, who, didn't know what they were saying. Five minutes later, (The girls hadn't asked anything else) the boys had snapped out of their daze and were acting perfectly normal. Lavender and Parvati weren't too happy about speaking to them right now but they had to pretend that nothing had happened. So, they continued to talk, chat and eat as if nothing had happened.

That night…in the third year girls' dormitory…

"I can't believe they would do something like that!" Lavender exclaimed, drying her hair.

Parvati looked thoughtfully at her mirror where she had a shrine of pictures of Harry. Then, she whipped her head around and said, "What about some revenge…?"

Lavender turned around and smiled mischievously. "What did you have in mind?"

"Well, we can send them secret admirer letters saying that 'I now reveal my identity' or something and sign them like…from teachers!"

"OOOO!" Lavender squealed. "I'll sign mine from Filch! Oh this is going to be so much fun!"

Parvati was grinning like a maniac and said, "Snape! I will sign mine from Snape!"

Lavender laughed hysterically. They both got out pieces of parchment. Parvati wrote:

My dear Harry-

It is I! You're secret admirer…I have been holding my love inside me for too long. I want the world to know who I love and it is you, Harry James Potter. It is time for me to reveal my true identity. Severus Snape.

Love,

Sevi

Parvati read her letter aloud and Lavender rolled off of her bed laughing like a maniac. About five minutes later, Lavender had regained control and started writing her letter:

My ever dearest Oliver-

I can't stand you not knowing who I am. Every time you look at me I want to scream that 'I love you!' So, now I reveal myself. Argus Filch…please say you love me.

Love,

Argie

Lavender read her letter to Parvati who was crying by the time she was finished. She too, laughed for about five minutes. When she had stopped laughing and wiped the tears from her eyes, she and Lavender went out of the Common Room and up to the owlery to mail the letters. "Oh, payback is so sweet!" Parvati told Lavender as they entered the owlery and tried to find a good owl. Lavender grabbed a tawny owl and tied the letter to the leg. It went out the window to deliver the letter.

Parvati saw this barn owl at the top of the room. It flew down and she tied the letter to it. They turned and left. "I can't wait to see the reactions on their faces!" Parvati squealed as they entered Gryffindor Tower to find a very anxious looking Oliver and Harry sitting in the Common Room. 'Wow, fast delivery…' Parvati thought. "Hey Harry!"

Harry nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard Parvati's voice.

"What's up?" she asked, sitting in her usual seat beside Harry.

"No! We haven't gotten any owls lately," Harry told her.

"Nope, no secret admirer owls here!" Oliver laughed.

The girls smiled. Then, they said their goodnights and went up to bed.
