More To Life…The Sequel 05

A few hours later, Parvati and Lavender were lying in the Hospital Wing. Parvati was awakened by someone shaking her. "Chocolate coffee! Quidditch! Hot sauce! Paperclips! Who won? Ouch…my head hurts," she said rubbing her head.

Harry, lying in the next bed explained about everything, the dementors, how they effected him, and how he fell and how his Nimbus got smashed to smithereens. "Oh, I'm so sorry Harry!" Parvati said to him.

Harry shrugged. Right then, Lavender woke up and asked Madam Pomfrey for some chocolate. "No! Don't give her any…" Harry said to Madam Pomfrey. Madam Pomfrey looked insulted that someone would question her methods of healing.

Then, Oliver came into the room, looking very depressed. "I'm sorry Oliver. But, just because you lost," Oliver cringed at the sound of the word 'lost' "but it doesn't mean that you can't still win the Quidditch Cup? Right?" Lavender asked him.

"No, but…" Oliver trailed off as he saw her eating the chocolate. "NO!" He said snatching the chocolate up from her and threw it in the trashcan.

"What did you do that for?" Lavender asked him.

"My guess is that you don't remember what happened earlier today in the Quidditch dressing rooms?" Harry asked them.

"Bits and pieces…geez…I think we have hangovers…" Parvati said, rubbing her head again.

Harry changed the subject quickly. "So, Oliver, are you done drowning yourself in the shower yet?" Harry joked.

Lavender, obviously still a little high said, "Ooooh that sounds fun! Come on Oliver! Let's go drown ourselves in the shower!" she said as pretended to get up.

Oliver got up and headed towards the door when Lavender yelled, "I was kidding! No one wants you to drown!"

Oliver smiled. "So, have you two had enough coffee?"

"Coffee? I had coffee?" Lavender said in an urgent tone. She caught Parvati's eye and winked ever so slightly. Parvati got the hint and nodded.

"Yeah, about eight pints…" Oliver told her.

"Oh no! I'm deathly allergic to coffee! I'll be dead in forty-eight hours!" she said, pretending to gag.

Oliver turned white and he looked at Parvati and Harry. Parvati had a worried look on her face and Harry had his eyes wide and his mouth slightly open.

"Uh-oh…it's happening!" Lavender screeched. She grabbed her stomach and got off the bed. She leaned on Oliver who was grabbing her around the waist. He let go of her and she pretended to keel over on the floor.

"Oh my gosh!" Oliver cried as he knelt down beside her.

Harry and Parvati rushed over and knelt down by Lavender and Oliver. "Oliver, try kissing her!" Parvati said.

    "What?" he asked.

"Well, it worked in the muggle movie about the poisonous apple, seven little men and a girl that can sing to the animals…" Parvati told Oliver.

"That was magic though…" Oliver said doubtfully.

"Well, what are you? A muggle? Where are we? Muggle England?" Parvati told him.

Oliver leaned down and kissed her. He leaned back out, looking down at her. Her eyes flickered open and Oliver smiled. Lavender pointed at Oliver and laughed. "HAHA! I got you! HAHA! That was so good!" Lavender laughed.

"Oh! I'm going to kill you Lavender!" Oliver told her, giving her a look of hatred. "You frightened me to bloody death!"

"Yeah, just give me some more coffee and I'll be dead in forty-eight hours!" Lavender and Parvati were still laughing, joined now by Harry. "That was for the whole Aveda Kedavra thing in Diagon Alley!" Lavender said to Oliver.

Oliver's mad expression faded into one of happiness. He too, started rolling on the floor laughing. "No visitors!" Madam Pomfrey yelled suddenly. They all stopped laughing and got up immediately. Lavender and Parvati bid Oliver and Harry goodbye and headed straight for their beds. Still laughing about what just happened.

After a few moments of laughing and after they have settled down, Parvati got to thinking. "Hey Lavender?"

    "Huh?" Lavender replied.

"I was just thinking, you know a few days ago in Potions when Snape mentioned that Truth Potion that whoever you give it to…it will work for like…five minutes and after that they won't remember what they said?" Parvati asked.

"No, I have better things to do in Potions then to listen to that ugly git," Lavender replied.

Parvati laughed and then said again, "Do you think we could brew it? It couldn't be that hard…" she suggested.

"I couldn't…I can't tell a rat's skull from an eye of newt…" Lavender laughed. "Maybe we could ask Hermione."

"That's funny!" Parvati laughed very loudly that she got a warning glance from Madam Pomfrey.

"Shhh!" Madam Pomfrey shushed them. She was over Harry's bed, obviously doing something. He was sound asleep though.

    "Why?" Lavender asked.

"Picture this-Hermione helping us brew a potion when she could be studying for her muggle studies test of something!" Parvati explained.

"Oh…makes sense," Lavender agreed as she adjusted her pillow. "I guess we will just have to make it ourselves…"

"Yeah," Parvati said as they both fell asleep.
